The team with more Italy contacts than anyone else let the pick and roll PG slip past them. Still bothers me.

Certainly nice work since then though, especially since Isiah tried to push his way in the door and he's gone through the hip surgery stuff. Knicks almost seem stable now.

Jennings showed very very little in Europe. Add a very immature attitude. Add he's 5'11 and about a 155 pounds. How many NBA players with Jenning's build are successfull players? Its the same reason he passed on AR who he liked a lot also.

The Hill pick was understandable. He was the best college player on the board.

That being said JW those are 100% fair knocks and just as Walsh should be praised fie guys like Fields, etc he's certainly had misses also.

What Walsh does GREAT, and what was totally overlooked with Isiah is Walsh understands how to build a team. Isiah just tried to get better players, and often did, but they were parts that anyone could see would not fit together. Marbury and Francis? Zach and Curry? Idiotic.... Walsh has not only upgraded the talent and loaded the roster with young players with good upside but he's put pieces together that compliment.

Glad we have him

Ok, but compare that to trading away the rights to draft picks:
#16 (2004, could have been one of: Josh Smith, J.R. Smith, Jameer Nelson, Kevin Martin, Udrih, Delonte West or Varejao)
wasting #8 on Frye in 2005,
#2 (2006, LaMarcus Aldridge),
and insult upon injury, drafting Balkman one spot before Rondo that year
#9 (2007, Noah),
#9 (2010, Hayward),

seriously....Donnie has brought us from lottery bound team with one of the leagues highest payrolls.... maybe a 4th seed in the playoffs with cap flexibility in 2 years.....what?...yes, 2 years. I can forgive a few missed opportunities in the draft. The future looks good knicks fans

Yea, if you step back and really look at the entire situation, if you step back and look at what the team was the day before Donnie came and look at it today, I think that's impressive, as impressive as it can get in the NBA league. Really great moving by Donnie, great coaching by MDA.

Jennings?

Gimme a break. Ray Ray had 17 points, 14 assists and 3 steals.

Felton ended with no turnovers and tied the Knicks’s franchise record for the most assists (achieved twice by Mark Jackson and once by Jim Cleamons and Doc Rivers). - NYT

Building a team is about leadership and team play. In both areas, Landry Fields contribution is greater than that of Jennings.

“I was determined not to lose this game,” Felton said.

Yes, most assists without a turnover.
