Felton creates shots for himself and others well and obviously you can get the ball to Amare in his spots and let him make something happen. But when these two are out, the team seems very helter-skelter in a bad way. If we add someone else that can create offense, such as Iggy or Monta Ellis, then it takes a lot of pressure off of Felton and STAT. Chandler, Gallo, and Fields are great playing off of others, but they can't make something happen when the offense stalls.

Gallo, Curry & Walker for Iggy & Kapono?

only way we could ask for more is if AR was playing & putting up stats... gotta figure all the DNP's he's collected has degraded his value a ton

If they are going to trade AR I would want it to be part of a deal that gets us some yout coming back our way.

I see a lot of names being thrown around that don't make one iota of sense... I mean, I would like some of the guys mentioned but GETTING those guys is not happening is some instances.

Are there any reasonable plan B's?

POR GM is hard to negotiate with tho... i mean this is the same guy that passed up Wilson C for Rudy Fernandez, no?

wonder what it would take for us to get Camby & Dre Miller? no yout coming back but that solves our 2 needs in 1 trade... doubt they'd come cheap tho.

like which ones don't make an iota of sense for example? the names i listed were just the ones that have been mentioned in recent trade rumors around the league... i didn't list them to say i'd wanna go after all those guys, just putting out the names that have been talked about in the media of late... feel free to add some names if u don't see any that u think might be reasonable... i've seen u mention Nene in past threads... is he no longer a reasonable options to you?

oh, not your initial list.

I was thinking suggestions Love for one. Iggy. Granger.

Sota aint giving up Love (although admittedly he would be very nice on Knicks). Why would the Knicks trade for Iggy when Fields is just fine and Iggy is down right now with achilles. Granger? When Gallo, Chander do the same things and why would Indiana want anything back from Knicks that they would be giving up Granger.

Casspi seems a strange name to be for the Knicks to pursue.... He is a SF and the Knicks have Gallo, Chandler, Williams. What would he bring?

Casspi's name has been linked w/the Knicks in recent news articles... could be DW is looking to acquiring him if he's looking to make some other deal that involved Gallinari? would seem to make sense in that regard.

I hear that Indiana is down on Granger because his production has gone down the past two years and he's settling for too many jumpers. Don't know if this is true or not. If it is true, this I might be hesitant to give up a lot for him. Granger would be awesome in a small ball lineup with Amar'e tho.

saw the article, seemed to be more of an agent pushing the Knicks' name into the conversation more than anything, not so much that Donnie was going after Casspi.

Names I like on that list are Nene, Camby, and OJ Mayo. I'm not much of a trade machine guy so no idea how it could work.
Rose is not the answer.

If Deandre Jordan keeps playing like this--Id be willing to offer a substantial amount. I know Id have to over pay a tad but to get a C who I believe can give us 14-13 3.5 in his prime 65% and his age factored into it--this is where Id spend my money. But I need to see him do it all year consistently--how he is playing now.

for this year Id focus on trying to get Mayo to upgrade over Douglas(more size and much more explosive player and Jason Thompson. I think Mayo and Thompson would do very well here--and maybe they would just be the pieces we need--nothing else

Something like AR Douglas and 1.5mm in cash for Mayo

2014 pick restricted to only 7 and 1 2012 2nd rounder from GS for Thompson

My plan B:

Dalembert and Beno for Curry, Azu, Walker, Mason, $3 mil

Dalembert
Amare
Wilson
Fields
Ray

Gallo(SG/SF/PF-Maybe more Detlef then Dirk)
Toney(SG/PG)
Beno(PG-A backup with championship experience. With him and Toney Ray can get 35 mins/game)
Williams(SF/PF)
Turiaf(PF/C)

Plan C

Mason and Walker for Robin Lopez
AR and Azu(or Douglas) for Mayo
Find a way to acquire a guy like Anthony Johnson (D-League for guys like Alston or Daniels)

Lopez
Amare
Wilson
Fields
Ray

Mayo
Gallo
Toney(?)
Williams
Turiaf

Do you honestly think MDA would play Jordan? I don't see that happening.

If Mayo & Thompson could be had- those would be great moves.

Enjoy the playoffs guys, there will be no championships. Unless Melo is a Knick just don't see any other player putting the Knicks in the elite category of teams.
