Might not have to wait too long.

I don't mind TMS, I'd rather look ahead than rehash why the Knicks lost out on Melo, if its true.

So it'll be Melo, Lopez, Rip, Billups (if he doesn't do a buyout) and who else? Not seeing this as anything substantial, but ya know, money talks.

I'm starting to think that maybe Donnie knew this when he made the "Signing Chandler" comments some time ago. Would make more sense I guess. I don't want to trade for Melo if we're outbidding any team - even as ****ty a package as this.

The Nets will still suck.

I am not afraid of old ass Rip and Billups and a bunch of scrubs with Carmelo.

Wouldn't mind "old ass" Billups coming off the bench in NY. Just what we need if the price is right.

Papabear Says

Carmelo must face the facts. Brooklyn will always be second to the Knicks. We are building something. I wish the Nets the best and we will not blow up our team for Carmelo and Denver would rather give Carmelo away to another team instead of dealing with us.

I'm not going to say panic if we miss Melo, because we are still a very good team. But there is nothing that warrants us to be that much better than NJ if there team looks that after the trade. We must stay flexible, but counteract this with a move that makes us clearly a much better team. We don't need a superstar, but we need to add a very, very good player.

Melo wants that money.

we have no idea what we offered. We might have really not been all that interested.

Not like we have a hard time scoring?

Big accomplishment in the East. 10-27 and still only 4 games out of the 8th seed.

You beat me to it. I was thinking "I hope they're too far behind to make it to the 8th seed", but then I checked the standings. God damn the east have a lot of shytty teams.

even still coming from being a 12 win team last year, making the playoffs would be a HUGE improvement... they make this trade & they're easily a #7 seed in the EC & could be trouble for teams in the playoffs.

From Hahn:

"A person with knowledge of the situation reiterated that Anthony's "desire is to get to the Knicks with the extension," but the Nuggets haven't engaged in meaningful talks with the Knicks. The sides have been in contact in the last few months, but the source said that when the Knicks have asked Nuggets executive Josh Kroenke and general manager Masai Ujiri what they would want in return, the response has been: "They don't know."

Seriously, it'shard to figure out why Denver is going out of their way to stick it to us. But they are free to do what they see fit, we'll make sure we take it out on them when we play them.

Maybe they are pissed about Anthony leaving and they don't want him to go to his first choice.

Being pissed is one thing giving up on Cahndler/Firlds or Gallo for the crap they are taking back is just plain stupid especially after the type of season the first two are having. They are paid to do what's best for the team, not act as sissies trying to win ego battles.

They're douches either way, if it's because of Melo, they sure aren't too phucking nice to the guys who gives them their all and carries them for so many years.
