Briggs, you sound like you saw the whole game -- give us your take on Jordan's offensive game. I know he had the 20 rebs (and he's had a few 20 reb efforts already in his short career), the 6 blocks was nice too (nyk4ever saying he had 19 blks in his last 3 games, that's impressive) but he also had 14 pts -- was it all on dunks and putbacks? I just saw the reverse dunk off the oop from Davis that was awesome..So was the feed from Griffin for another dunk..I haven't seen D Jordan play through an entire game in awhile (a just sat down with my coffee to watch a replay of last night's LAC/DEN game but can't find it on league pass--must've been on TNT or ESPN I guess ). Just curious how much his offensive game has evolved since his days at Texas A&M. Any post up moves, mid-range J?? Just curious..I do like him but if we're throwing around big money for a guy I'd like a fairly complete game or at least signs that he's on his way..

Again, anyone wanna take a stab at what kinda money we're talking about in order to bring this kid here? Wes Matthews got 5 yrs, $34M from Portland..We looking at more than that perhaps? At what point does LA draw the line and say that's it do you think? You know they're gonna want to keep him..

Ive watched him a lot this year. His offense really is limited to opportunities at point blank range but so was Shaqs and Dwight Howards when they were young. Hes leading the league in FG% and when he gets it down low(and he has good hands) its almost a a certainty that he will connect. I suspect we will see 2-4 games this year when he scores 25+. This guy is just getting rolling.

Actually Nene is leading the league in FG pct, and he is no where in the Howard, Oneal subject whatsoever.

He's a solid guy for a half cout offense, but he would get very limted minutes under MDA, if any at all. your right briggs he has no offense game beyond 5ft of the basket, and he is not dominate enough to do much. He's a couple of steps ahead of Thabeet

Have not watched him enough, but looking at his 45% FT stat tells me a lot about his shooting touch.

Does he have any kind of hook shot that he can go do down low? I would also think that he'd have to work on some kind of short turnaround shot using the backboard at some point.

Let's face it though, if the guy can give you 10-12 RPG, block about 3/game, play decent D against the other team's big, and finish on a pick and roll, what more would you want from a center on a team (the Knicks) with the other scorers we would have surrounding him?

Sign me up. But realistically why would Clips let him go?

Yup.

They are starting to become what Popovich would call a "dangerous team."

Might have to overpay to get him, assuming that he would even want to leave L.A..

They are at a 51mm cap right now for next year--not including 3 holds--one of which will be a 2mm+ draft picks--so lets say 54mm. Depending on how he rolls the rest of the year--he could demand a contract north of 10mm--are the Clippers going to go into that area?

Why not continue to play with them, especially if they continue to progress as a team. They have some nice talent on that team, despite the history of disappointment associated with the franchise.

Maybe he wants to be one of the player pioneers who helps lead the Clippers into respectability.

Always hard for outsiders to gauge how a guy on another team really feels about that team.

That's true.

There is also the Kaman factor.

And the 11-24 factor.

Knicks are VERY close to being an elite team with 1 or 2 more moves. LAC is not.

The Clippers have a bright future probably the brightest of all teams starting next year. I watch about 80% of their games and have been going on 3yrs now. I used to watch about 40% of their games prior to. The trio of Blake/Gordon/Jordan with Aminu in the fold(needs to play more mature) is scary as they have assets and cap to build around them. We should pursue Jordan but he's Blake's best friend on the team and they all like each other tremendously so I don't see Jordan leaving. I so wanted us to purchase picks in the 2008 draft to go after him in particular.

I could see the Clippers lowballing him at first with an initial offer -- if that's the case, we might be able to swoop in and get him.

I want to have an open mind going into the off season. I think we have a really good team that just needs a couple of more pieces. i want to separate this year and next year--make NO drastic trades. I would like to see if D Walsk can get some guys on ending contracts who can help is now guys like Dalembart Jefferies etc.. on ending contracts. I want to watch Jordan for the rest of the year along with several others. The ONLy definitive position that I would take is Wilson coming back here--and we took that. Id like to see walsh enhance the team this year just a bit . I think that Gallo moving to 6th man might give the entire team a boost.

we will have cap room after we re-sign Melo...enough for some good pieces. I just don't see walsh breaking up this team to get melo. how many teams are still trying to find the right chemistry...and here we have it on the first try

We could always sign Josh Boone and get similar production to DeAndre Jordan and one-fourth the cost. Anyone know where Boone is?
