That isn't the point now is it? Anytime those guys lose to a good team it's good fun. They lost twice to Boston and now twice to Dallas. They're not exactly impressing the Elite teams in the league right now. Just cuz they Heat can beat up on the rest of the League doesn't make them special. The Heat are in their own special little spot just outside of the Elite teams, but above everyone else.
Why is is good fun when the Heat lose? Honestly, I'd rather see the Celts lose. I have no personal agenda against the Heat. I was a fan of Lebrons games while in Cleve and I'm still a fan of his game eventough he turned us down.
If you don't have an utter disdain for the HEAT then you were not a fan of the Knicks in the 90s. There is PLENTY of bad blood between the Heat and the Knicks. The whole Pat Riley connection, the playoff loss to them after they got 1/2 our starters suspended for game 6 & 7 of the playoffs, Alonzo Mourning getting a ring on the back of DWade and Shaq when he should never have gotten anything(Ewing deserved it more). Tim Hardaway talking trash just about every opportunity he could against our beloved Knicks, getting LeBron over us, and a few more I can't recall at the moment.
It's really quite simple. knicks have a long standing rivalry with the Heat, Pacers, Celtics, Nets, Bulls, and maybe throw in the Rockets in there for good measure.
How do you tell someone that they are not a fan?!!! I was there in the 90's when we pretty much beat the Heat in every playoff series except for one when played at a disadvantage because of the Charlie Ward/PJ Brown fight. I've been a fan of the Knicks since 82-83 when I was finally old enough to follow and really understand the game. However, I started playing basketball when I was 3, before I new what a Knick was, thus I was also a fan of the game. I admired and respected talent. Wanted to improve my game so I watched the best players so I could learn or just watch a good game. So even as I lived and died with Truck Robinson, Sly Williams, and Bernard King, as a kid I was still a fan of Dr J. Who the hell wasn't? The guy was amazing. Yet, the Sixers beat our arses all the time back then and when the Knicks were eliminated from the playoffs or playoff contention, I didnt turn off the tube. I was upset my team lost, but I still wanted to watch good basketball. And as a basketball fan, I was happy to see DR.J beat the Lakers wo win his first 'Chip' in 83.
Looking at your list, your basically telling me that you hate the following players:
Hakeem Olajuwon
Clyde Drexler
Sam Cassell
Michael Sugar Ray Richardson
Kenny Anderson
Drazen Petrovic
Derrick Coleman
Reggie Miller
Jermaine O'Neal
Ron Artest
Al Harrington
Mike Dunleavy
Darrin Collison
Larry Bird
Kevin McHale
Derrick Rose
Carlos Boozer
Joakim Noah
Etc.
BTW, I never said I root for any of those teams, only said I respect talent regardless of the uni. Respecting Lebrons talent, and rooting for him to beat my team are two different things.
