What I would do is start AR move Gallo to the sg position and put Chandler at sf with Amare at Center. Bring Fields of the bench as we have remember that he has already played an entire NCAA season so far and his numbers will come down as the season progresses would be nice to bring him off the bench. I want to force feed AR into the lineup and get him going.

AR in starting lineup?

Yes Martin starting lineup for AR. We need to increase the team length and get back to a normal lineup. We can't play small vs teams with skilled length. Its time to give positive reinforcements to the player not negative all he is doing is ripping the kids confidence by benching him. This does no one good. Besides MDA seems to be his own worst enemy the guy can't get out of his own way with how to use his bench he manages to dishearten everyone by putting them into a dog house. Its tiring that is an old act and he needs to get better with it.

you know what was tiring to the coaching staff? 30% shooting, chucking up shots outside of flow of offense, not knowing where to be on defense. Like that.

Dude has got to earn his playing time. Unless you want a rehash of forcing Curry minutes to a player who clearly had no clue what to do with them and which did little good to anyone.

Hey, I would like to see Moz and AR a lot more. Suggesting AR should be forced into the starting lineup will win you no arguments.

Now to throw this out there, I hear Stephen Jackson is available. Donnie Walsh loves him, and had him on the Pacers. Personally, I prefer him over Melo because he's a great defender and equally clutch, and will not back down from anyone. He does not fill a position of need though... he'd be a bench player or he might shift Gallo/Chandler to the bench and start in their place. But he's an example of a piece of a championship caliber team.
I try not to get at people but Steven Jackson is on Melo's level??????????????? I have been saying for a long time knick fans are crazy for not wanting Melo but this is just dumb. And when was the last time Jax was a great defender???? Give up back in San Antonio.

it's not the types of players that DW likes that we should be focused on... the guys that get playing time are the ones that MDA likes... Stephen Jackson is not an MDA style player in my eyes... he's more an Isiah style player in the way he carries himself & his demeanor... he's quality, there's no doubt about it, but not sure how his personality would mesh w/our head coach... he can be volatile at times, & players like that usually require the type of handling that MDA has no tolerance for.

Martin, no one seems to win an argument with you. You seem to have all the answers. But this time you are totally wrong on this one. AR needs playing time just as Gallo was allowed to work through his wrist injury. AR should have been allowed to play through mistakes. He is learning a new system and it takes time to get it right. AR is not benefiting from riding the bench get him out there and get him run it will do wonders for his confidence and you will see less hesitation and poor shots coming from him and better flow.

Papabear Says

After Mike D gets finished with our bench players they won't be worth 2 cents in a trade or getting burn time. AR could have matched well on Bosh. Mike D. He is a bench killer and Mike D makes it all about Mike D. It will that someone one like Amear to bring it up to Walsh for Mike D to listen. He is going to burn out Felton and near the end of the season we will be saying how bad he is playing. To win in the playoffs you will have to be 10 deep and Mike D will burn Amear out. Some players are just not good practice players. Right before our eyes Mike D is killing AR like he did Hill. Wrong Coach for a Championship bound team and thats why he never won one. Never went to the finals.

I don't know if it was just to guard Bosh or for his 6'11" hgt. With his quickness and length, harassing LBJ was an option. No Mosgov, No AR, No Turiaf---very small ball-----no horses to run, rebound = Loss
