If this Melo trade happens Im predicting a Gasol 2.0 trade of Chris Paul to NJ. All the pieces are in place. Hornet losing money like Memphis was. A star(Melo) in need of help like Kobe was.

So Im guessing Chris Paul for Brook Lopez, James, Trash, and picks. Obviously the deal is trash but ESPN will spin that deal like Lopez is a franchise player and Paul DEMANDED to play with his buddy Melo.

Well let's consider the Gasol trade to LA was made by Jerry West. No GM of New Orleans played and GMed the Lakers for 30 years.

Thats way to high a price. Melo is a very very good basketball player. IM sure Brooklyn would be stoked to see an NBA franchise but one that is building somthing special. Melo is not THAT special.

Better they build a winning team than a face of franchise starphuch.
