Another myth that perpetuates here on this site: "A player can't improve in practice". I'm assuming that the majority of this site is of the Iverson generation so I understand your misconceptions, but this is a false assumption. First of all, players improve the most in between seasons when there are no games. How? Because they aren't sore from last nights game and can work 2-3 hours a day on their bodies and games. Guys that aren't in the rotation can do the same if they aren't pouting about playing time and working hard.
#2 The bar is not set high here for him to play. The bar appears to be Mozgov. Leap over that and he is playing. He's already been above that bar so him not playing is the result of him regresssing. He appears to be very fragile mentally. As soon as he faces adversity he goes in the tank. The team has not lost patience in him. Briggs has and it appears RAndolph has.
#3 Why rush to trade a guy when his value is at an all-time low. Why not continue to work with him in practice and then trade him after he gets minutes(unless something great comes along). What is the rush? It's been 25 games.
#4 Let's be honest we don'tknow if the staff has given up on him. We don't know if the staff is working hard to help him improve and he isn't responding. We don't know if the staff is working hard, he is working hard and is right on the cusp of playing. We know nothing.
