Not a good look for Roy. Guy is still a baller. He just cant be depended on for 30+ MPG a game.

Why oh why would you be glad to take Brandon Roy off of their hands when you don't think you can depend on him for 30+ minutes a game? Please tell me you didn't really think this through before typing it out.

that's like 90% of his posts.

I don't like to try to pick on posters or anything but that was the icing on the cake for me.

Cap space. Defense. Things to think about before posting stuff like that. Ah well. To each his own I guess martin.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

he had over 18,000 posts on RealGM as GuyverADL--then they waived him, and then made this place his home

I don't mind a spirited debate with people on basketball and the Knicks..that's what I'm here for. It DOES get a bit..irking..when you take the time to do some research and try to post something that's been thought out for a while and to get something short of that in response. Ah well.

Agreed. I'm not one who will usually rip how a poster posts either, but I'll make an exception here. It is annoying as hell to write something out and then have the response be the equivalent of "you're wrong. It's obviously 100 percent black. What I think is actually universal law" and then you respond and he writes back "I think this and it is this way because that's just the way it is and I am not going to comment on any of your points whatsoever. I hope I was insulting enough in the process to piss you off and make this place less fun for everyone else too"

I used to post at RealGM and then I hopped over here... still posted there from time to time, but he's one of a few posters that caused me to quit posting there for good. And now he's here. Ugh. He's one of the worst posters in RealGM history... take that for what it's worth

Im not getting him to be a focal point. He'd play 3rd string to Amare and Melo.

If Roy wasnt damaged goods we wouldnt get him at all.

Bro, I'll tell you how bad his contract is now that he has knees that are done and won't get better...

If you called the Clips and asked Sterling to trade you Baron Davis, he would laugh at you.

If you called the Prime Minister of Turkey and asked him to trade you Allen Iverson... he would say, "I'll take my chances with AI."

If he had the Prime Minister of Turkey's telephone number, Turkey would procure nuclear missiles and deployment technologies to nuke NYC, LA, and Chicago out of sheer principle. let's not joke about Anubis being a international point-of-contact

Why are you so concerned about the money. If we get Melo we are capped out any. I CLEARLY stated that I would get Roy to ADD to Melo and Amare.

Roy at 50% is still better than any SG we can REALISTICALLY acquire. SG's(who can shoot), PG's, and C's come at a premium in the NBA. This is why guys like Arenas and Roy get the max even though they have knee injuries.

Boston won a championship 1 yr removed from being a lottery team. Steal a few games in the playoffs and you can be in the finals.

I understand what you said. Brandon Roy is still the best player on that Portland team. Plus they are losing so that just compounds the tension there.

Roy and Miller didnt like each other last year and they dont like each other now.

3-16, and 4-16 in the last two since he aggravated the knee

Anubis, he is done in the way we've seen Penny and TMac be done, but he doesn't have their size advantage at his position and his knees are worse than theirs were.

Roy shouldn't be taking 16 shots a game. Penny and TMac were more reliant on athleticism than Roy ever was.

If we can get a Houston Rocket level T-Mac type talent on the cheap then Im sold.

but again why commit all that time and $ to a player who isn't healthy? Have you looked into whether Amare, Melo and Roy would even fit under the cap?

Aren't there a thousand better ways to spend $15-$16 M per season to help build a team than on Brandon Roy? You can't be serious with this one...

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Hopefully this will end the debate... in this clip from last night you basically see the high end that Roy is capable of, leaning on dudes in the lane and tossing up a fadeaway floater. You also see clearly that he has no elevation AT ALL on his shots and can't get around anyone so he's shooting with a hand in his face whenever he shoots.

He's not the Houston version of TMac.

He's the 2020 version of Marty Collins.

wow blazers are stuck. remeinds me of when the knicks had to go through it with houston, and presently curry. the one thing missing in the nba is the nfl-option of voiding contracts.

Come on now man you act like Roy was jumping over people before the injury. What I see is he has no problem getting shots off. Those are just very difficult shots that he was able to make before. He will have easier attempts than that here.

I see a "gimpy" Roy STILL gets an IMMEDIATE double team.

Like I said, Im not getting him to play with Melo and Amare. He'd be our Chris Bosh.

MLE signing
Amare
Melo
Roy
Felton
