He should be running wind sprints ALL summer when the season is over. That and work on his calves.

The debate continues.

Im just enjoying the games for now and not just root for the team but for the players to succeed.

I am with Team Knicks. I like both Gallo and The Mayor. I want to keep this young group.

Me, too. However, since we will not be able to trade Curry + junk for Melo (i.e., Denver wants something of value back OR 1st rounders) we stand to lose either Gallo or Chandler in any move for Melo. If I were Donnie, I would already have recognized this and would base my offer on which of those guys I prefer to retain.

If it's Chandler, we offer Gallo and Curry & filler. Since we can use Chandler's Bird rights this summer, the trade doesn't matter too much from our perspective.

If it's Gallo, then we center the trade around Curry/AR/Chandler plus filler/$cash/2nd rounders.

Fact: Donnie Walnuts is now definitively driving the bus. He will make a reasonable low-ball offer and tell Ujiri "Take it or leave it." Denver will weight their options and do just that. If they want to make a run this season, they keep Melo and we sign him in the summer. If they want to start rebuilding, they take Chandler and use AR to grab our first rounder from Houston (though I can't figure why they'd want it based on our current record).

No matter what, we are getting Melo if we want him, based on which of the complimentary players we decide to retain. As for Fields, come on: He is SOOOOOO off the table. Cheap, glue, consistent, an EVERYTHING guy. No way we give him up for anything. Lebron maybe, not Melo.

The only offer for Melo is Curry/AR/TD and that's it if they want it this year. If not then we can just wait for Melo in the summer.

DW still has to decide if he wants to spend $17-20 M on

Chandler + whatever the Knicks need as currently constructed

or

Melo

The advantage to playing out the season is we can repeat what we did this offseason.

Sign a star (Amare/Melo)

Use our homegrown asset (Lee/Chandler) who plays the same position to sign and trade for something useful...

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Next year will be different.

Remember that...Embarrassing

I cringed when I saw it. He claimed to have worked on his post-up game in the off-season, but I have not seen any evidence of this.

A jump hook, some recognition that he's actually allowed to use the backboard to make a shot, and understanding that at 6'10+" he has a "0" next to the "1" would be nice.

I have issues with fan arguments over two of our better young players. Seems to be a waste of time, IMO. Stems from the Knicks hyping up Gallo, I would assume (which is not his fault), and the fact that many did not want to draft him when we did (6 seems a very legit slot at this point, by the way). I hope we can find a way to keep both of them next year, even if that seems doubtful at this point.

Do you watch the games? My question has no malicious intent but I am just baffled how you can make a statement like that. Gallo has been nothing but all effort this year. He rebounds. He defends. He runs the floor on transition even when he is not the primary option. Watch that beautiful alleyoop dunk by Wilson. Gallo was the trailer and the lone defender tried to defend both Wilson and the trailer(Gallo) and opened up an alleyoop from Felton to Wilson.

I really don't get the Gallo hate around here. He gets to the line. He opens up the lane for the league MVP. Amare was interviewed last night and was asked about Landry and Wilson last game and he purposely mentioned Gallo and that Gallo just open things up for him.

Gallo, Felton, The Mayor and Fields are the perfect compliement for STATVP.

Stop the hate. Appreciate.

I totally agree with all of that

I've commented on his jump shot before, he uses too much upperbody movement, at times, and you can see it in the flatness of his shot. He really has to position his legs a little wider and get them into play when he shoots.

I like that strategy a lot. The best use of assets right there. All enabled by cap space
