Now that the team is winning, I'd like to see MDA expand his rotation slowly but surely. It will help us in the long run, as it will keep our starters fresh and get other guys some playing time so that they can step up when needed. You never know when you might have an injury, so you'd better be prepared.

Guys have to perform, though. I don't think MDA would have trouble expanding his rotation if certain players stepped up, but our margin for error as a team is small, and one guy playing terribly can have a significant impact on a particular game's outcome.

Anyone else remember MDA in the off season talking about how Amare was their $100M man and they were going to limit his minutes?

I swear I do, but cannot find a quote at the moment.

See Hahn's post from the other day:

Great that we're winning games now, but at some point, we need to worry about winning games in April and May and perhaps beyond.

We have depth- and for everyone saying you can't put Timo or AR out there, how about the play Turiaf made on Melo's 3 pt attempt where he foulded him from behind? That was a bone head play.

Nene is simply too strong for Amare. Timo has played good defense. This was a game where maybe you should start Timo- and see if his length could impede Nene. 2 quick fouls- no problem.

Better than having Amare with 5 in the second half, because at that point, he stopped playing any semblance of defense.

I agree with Cheers. MDA should have gone to the bench and gotten Mozgov or AR into the game once Amare picked up his 5th. Luckily the refs didn't foul Amare out. I'm liking the winning but the rotation has to get longer at the center position.
