. . .

REBOUNDS

LENNY WILKENS said that he and SHANDON ANDERSON talked about the streak this week and that Anderson agreed that victories were more important. "It's always a tough decision, but you're trying to win the game," Wilkens said.

We needed the win, and Lenny gives a kitchen pass?

Could Anderson be trade bait

http://www.newsday.com/sports/basketball/ny-spknote253641315jan25,0,2254798.story?coll=ny-

Coach Lenny Wilkens was surprised by Anderson's anger. "We talked about it after the [previous game at Houston]," Wilkens said. "He said, 'Don't worry about it. If the game is on the line, then let's win the game.' ... Every player should want to play. If I thought he was upset, I certainly would talk to him."

Oh yeah, Shandon is disgruntled. The only option now is to trade him. No doubt he'll be out of here by February 19th.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

nobody significant. just another bench warmer who complains about playing time just like shandon. but maybe isiah can get really creative with this one if it happens. bring on more nonesense about the lack of chemistry. lol
Frank Williams is the best knicks player this year. mad Respect

Lamond Murray has already come up as an option. His salary is smaller, which would make him more tradeable in the future than Shandon is now (If the Knicks would want to trade Murray in the offseason or next year).

I am sure that there will be better trade options over the next 3+ weeks before the deadline for Isiah to take advantage of.

Anderson makes almost $7M per. He can be added in a trade to get a good big man. He has played very well this year and has helped his trade value. The only problem is he has 3 years left on his deal. If NY trades him for Murray, it is just to trade Murray over the summer. His contract is a year shorter, I think.

Having trade options with time to decide is one thing, having a healthy contributing player excused from playing for migraines that was never an issue before gives new meaning to wining. Let this be the reason for Sheed playing elsewhere....I don’t believe brain salad surgery is an option.

When all else does notfail, trade to save face

Well... if the game is on the line... Shandon feels that his presence in the game could make a positive difference for the team. He could have played some minutes in the 2nd or 3rd quarter. I mean, come on... Houston wasn't all there... I can't see how 3-5 minutes in there somewhere of his defensive energy (and drives to the basket) wouldn't have helped.

I mean... it's not like he's Howard Eisley or anything.

I give it up to Lenny for sitting Shandone. He has had some good games this year, but you can't win with a 10, 11 man rotation, and Penny's better. So get the streak out of the way and take it from there. My guess, if no one relieves us of Done's contract by Feb. 19, he'll play some valuable minutes for the Knicks somewhere down the line this season. But that doesn't mean Lenny should be sucking up to him now, when he thinks Penny's better.

totally. i think shannon is the only knick fan (well he's probably no longer a knick fan) pissed about penny playing over him.

Anyone think that Shandon will play tonight?

Better yet, will he even be in the arena? We'll find out in about an hour.

I seriously doubt that he'll play.

Considering how he's playing, maybe he should have had another "migrane".
