We are playing Portland 3 times this season???

I never get these predictions right, but here we go:

December, 10 at Wizards-W
December, 12 vs Nuggets-W
December, 15 vs Celtics-W
December, 17 vs Heat-L
December, 18 at Cavaliers-W
December, 22 vs Oklahoma-L
December, 25 vs Bulls-W
December, 28 at Heat-L
December, 30 at Magic-L
January, 2 vs Pacers-W
January, 4 vs Spurs-W
January, 7 at Suns-W
January, 9 at Lakers-L
January, 11 at Trailblazers-L
January, 12 at Jazz-L
January, 14 vs Kings-W
January, 17 vs Suns-W
January, 19 at Rockets-W
January, 21 at Spurs-L
January, 22 at Oklahoma-L
January, 24 vs Wizards-W
January, 27 vs Heat-W
January, 28 at Hawks-L
January, 30 vs Pistons-W
February, 2 vs Mavericks-L

Plus the win against the Raptors, that is 15-11. Yeah I picked some tough wins but whatever. We'll be 28-21. Now watch my prediction get crushed. lol

I like your style Blobby, but I am fan that thinks the Giants will go 16-0 every year. I really don't see the Knicks losing again this year with my dusted off rose colored glasses.

It might be that after all these years you just don't want to believe your eyes. But my eyes are clear. What we have on our hands is an elite squad. A group of winners that is going for the gold this year. When Coach Mike's teams come up, they come up in a big way. Phoenix came out of nowhere to win 62 games, the Knicks are coming out of nowhere this year to win 54. Watch. Feel. Enjoy. 32-16 at the end of the stretch, I would put my life on that.

With a quick glance I will call 12-13 with a 12 game margin of error, just to cover my own ass

If D Walsh can get me a 2nd scoring big man --we have a chance to win ANY game. I dont want to put the team at jeopardy to lose becasue of Turriaf. No number on it--one game at a time.

Im a big suprised by so many losing records. Like I said... Toronto (who are are clearly superior to) has already beaten Magic/OKC/Celtics. Certainly those teams deserve to be ranked higher than the Knicks right now but assuming those are all loses? I think we actually matchup pretty good against some of those teams. Maybe not enough to win a 7 game series but enough to split home/home in Jan

East teams have better winning % at the top but only has 7 teams above .500.

West has only 8 teams above .500.

Thus far there are no dominant teams and top heavy with many struggling.

Not sure what to make of it. Depends on how full the glass is or how empty.

I want a split with Miami!

I want Marc Gasol, dagnabbit.

Though I agree with you about Carl Landry, I can't see him being available.

Gasol is an RFA this summer and Memphis is poor.

Some of the teams that would seem hard to beat really aren't as tough anymore. Especially for a team like the Knicks, who are just taking care of their own business.

It's more than possible to beat teams like OKC, Phoenix (who really isn't that good), and Portland on the road or at home.

The toughest challenges are beating the Lakers, Celtics, Dallas, and probably Orlando.

I agree. It's hard for many fans to see our team for what it is. A GOOD TEAM. We keep beating bad teams cuz where not a bad team anymore. We may not be elite, but we're good enough to fight with Bos and Den until the last minute and that was when we didn't even know what we were doing! This team is the kind of team that will give other teams fits trying to stop us and that gives us a punchers chance at some of these games. The beauty of what Mike likes to do is have bigs that can stroke from the perimeter, cuz they're harder to stop than smalls shooting 3's. You get out to Gallo and he's still able to get his shot off without a hand really getting in his vision. The same goes for Williams, Chan and Fields. The way Felton and TD have been using screens to shoot uncontested 3's has been great as well.

The thing is with a spread floor we really are a tough team to stop, unless you want to go with a zone, which teams haven't been using against us that much. I'm sure someone will do that to try and stop our PnR game and frustrate us into bad shots. As long as we keep ball and player movement I think we'll be very competitive with the best teams.

If Amare sprains his knee--its all over for a long time. Thats why i think its pivotal to acquire a second quality big and try to keep amare at 35.

briggs - sure, it is no secret the Knicks are desperate for a quality big man. In a highly competitive environment, that is much easier said than done.

Give me Marcus Camby or give me death!

I consider acquiring a quality big a pivotal next step. We can talk Caremlo till were blue in the face but ya know what Fields Chandler Gallo and Williams will take care of business. In fact I dont even care about free agency if I get the right big man--Im very content with what we have on the wing long term --we need to get Amare's back--hes the man hes the foundation core. We have to make sure he is not over used and I would use any NON core asset including giving up FA to get that done. I think we have some pieces to get that done. And no not Marcus Camby for goodness sakes--dude is done.

briggs - you better check your facts. Marcus Camby is starting for Portland and at the ripe old age of 36 still rebounding the ball at a respectable 10.5 (3 offensive which are super valuable) and shooting 42 pct per game from the field... and STILL blocking nearly 2 shots a game.

There are few big men who are more suited to the new Knicks playing personality. Very few.

Quality big men who can put the ball on the floor, and have the studious timing on the jump, like Camby, are rare

Camby had 12 points and snared 19 rebounds in Sunday's win over the Clippers.

Always loved Camby, was sad to see him go. Glad to see he can still produce but we need someone younger and more long term. Too bad we can't get Superman, that would be NASTY.
