Being in 6th is not a bad thing cause that would match us against Miami, just like the good'ol days. Can you imagine the hype and anticipation if we play them in the playoffs?

I don't understand the logic behind that however. What's the point of expanding the divisions like they did a few years ago if the division winners can't get the top 3 seeds? Protecting divison winners to a seed no lower than 4 is stupid.
3 division champs should be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Because they're only guaranteed home court in the first round. If the top four seeds win the first round, that team that snuck in by winning its division plays the 1 seed, instead of the 3rd best team having to play them. Tough noogies.
That and the fact that teams were blatantly taking to get the 6th seed and so they can have an easier time in the first round playing the 3rd seed.
