Wilt, Russell, Duncan and Hakeem would have gotten posterized on that play too.

He should follow the Weis example - just give up and go back home to Russia where this will never, ever happen again.

Only way to stop that play is to stop the pass to Griffin in the first place, which means you need someone shadowing him at all times during the pick and roll. This isn't that easy.

Absolutely. Timo went after Griffen a couple of times. He even blocked a dunk attempt. I also would put Gallo in the "has courage" department. Gallo was also posterized trying to block Griffen in a fastbreak. Shotblockers get posterized.

Dwight Howard and the Rudy incident, being one of the more recent examples of this.

As some have pointed out, the important lesson from this is that if you don't try to block shots you will never be posterized unless someone accidently pushes you under the basket during one of them.

Gallo did well to be in position to even attempt a block on that Griffin dunk over him on the break. I guess if he had politely stepped out of the way and stayed out of the picture some fans would have been happier.

Lee was already on the team plane.

Moz was pretty far away from the rim. Grif Didn't really dunk it, he threw it in.

Just as impressive in my book, but Moz is not to blame.

It didn't work for Weis, see the 2000 Olympics. And he had already gone home to France.
You can run, but you can't hide if you think standing there is a good idea.
Timo needs to jump. Every time. F the charge. 9 times out of 10, unless you have a doctorate in flopping, you're not going to get the call anyway. The refs know all too well this is 50% sports and 50% entertainment.

I disagree. Timo should continue to stand very, very still in those situations.

I want to see Tim knock some people on their asses. Having someone's ballsack in your face, while being dunked on should light a fire under him to never let that happen again. And lay some people out in the process.

That thought process was was my whole reason for making this post. He should use the shame of posterization to spark him to never let somebody hurdle him again, even if it means fouling out or getting suspended after he flagrantly fouls the hell out of somebody!!!
