all you want to do is compare him to Gallo, for which I have no interest or intent on doing.

Okay, I have watched a lot of Nets games this season. Lopez has not been sucking, so that is in no way a "fact".

Lopez has had some uncharacteristically bad shooting games which have skewed his shooting percentages far below his career numbers, but over a 10 game sample, that percentage probably is not worth much in terms of any point someone may want to be making.

By the way, Lopez just scored 23 Vs. Dwight Howard 2 games ago (9/17 from the field) and 24 against the Clippers last night (10/16 from the field). However, his rebounding has been quite poor in both those games so there is room for improvement.

I guess you're right, comparing Lopez to Gallinari is silly since Lopez is without question far far superior. Tell me your point in comparing Landry Fields' rebounding to Lopez?

brought up Landry to highlight now poorly Lopez's numbers where. juxtaposition is all. you seem to want to inject Gallo into discussion to move topic beyond Lopez's numbers and play.

Yes, I was juxtaposing too. That despite Lopez numbers' which are not particularly relevant as of yet this season, that his play has been much better than you think. The juxtaposition was Lopez is better than the guy that the Knicks made the mistake of picking instead of the center they obviously needed.

Considering they were in the same draft and drafted very near each other, I think my juxtaposition was far more appropriate than comparing him to Landry Fields, which is simply out of left "Fields" (Pun intended.)

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

not really.

Lopez needs to go 25-25 in one game for him to bring his FG% to 50%

when do the Nets play the Knicks?

ba-dump... CHA!

thanks, folks! i'm here all week.

(and, also, sadly serious. Lopez will destroy the Knicks. I don't like him as a player, but he's a good player and his numbers will come up. they're probably low right now because dwight howard seems to take a special pleasure in destroying brook.)

i've seen a different player and have been overall happy with his play as of late. In his first 2 or 3 games after injury (and in preseason) AR jacked up a LOT of shots. Last 4 games you see him moving the ball more and getting rebounds. Still making mistakes and I think his minutes have been limited by lack of energy and consistent effort.

I agree, we can't expect him to blow up this season, not with the way things are going now. He is a project an should be treated as one. As far as his energy, running some plays for him, letting him handle the ball more will help. Like I said earlier, he brings up the ball just once and it seems to energize him. I don't know if AR will work out in NY but I want to give him every chance to succeed here. Sure don't want to see him blow up somewhere else because the Knicks were impatient.
