Remember last time the Knicks were playing like this they traded KVH etc and it ruined the progress we had been making. I say no trades for now, let them play.

I'm going to be very patient with AR and give him all season to show something. Hopefully by the allstar break he's up to 20mins a game and we'll take it from there. Remember when we first got Camby and he didn't do much that first season- in fact it wasn't until the playoffs that he showed real flashes (and even amongst those he had more than a few blunders).

I know everyone got a bit over excited (including myself) when we landed AR, and I guess we got way ahead of ourselves, hence the current disappointment- but look he's only played about 20min total this season and his value is at it's lowest- he's a hard worker and his hearts in the right place, he's just a bit clueless at the moment- lets just step back and give him plenty of time to develop.

you wouldn't trade AR for Melo but you'd trade him for J Rich... last week you said you thought JJ Hickson & Thad Young were better fits for this team than Gallo & AR... sheesh man, are you posting these threads just to get a reaction or do you seriously flip flop like this on the regular?
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

+1 to that, bro. We're playing too well right now to think of splitting these guys up. Let's keep in mind we have flexibility due to our cap. No sense changing that equation before Melo becomes a FA.

I liked AR coming out of college and on GS--heck how many NBA players said he was a future all star in the making? Then you add in injury/different fit youth/inexperience-then it makes it a case of is he right for his team. If I was making the decision on AR--I would put him in the D league for 6-7 games where he can get 40 minutes and send down a strength guy to work with hum for those 3-4 weeks. All of a sudden he is putting up 25-12-4 by game 7 and his shoulders look more defined and his value jacks back up to where it was prior to 5 preseason games--then I can consider whether I want to keep him(and I just might want to do that) or can I find another player in this league like a Jason Thompson who may be going through something similar who also might not be happy. Maybe Jason Thompson on the Knicks and Randolph on the Kings is better for teams and players? We need randolph to play like he did in GS--if he does that if he can give me 11-6-2 45++% in 20 minutes--then this team is going to be very tough to beat I dont care who we are playing. But randolph has to get back there--we need that extra big

Not even close, We need help on the interior. With Douglas, Fields, Chandler, Walker and then Bookey in December we are set in the perimeter unless were are bringing back a young future stud like Turner.

We need Randolph to develop.

Not sure why you have such an itchy trigger finger Briggs. There will be teams who want to run at times, and when they do Randolph will give them problems on both ends of the court. Three of the seven rebounds he got last night were on offense, in ten minutes. The best big men in the league are lucky to average that over an entire game. He looked and played nervous but fought through it and chipped in 7 rebounds, one steal, and two blocked shots in ten minutes.

There are sure to be injuries to the big men over the season and having Randolph on tap is a big plus.

Its two games, I can't believe some of you guys are ready to flush AR that quickly.

I get that way too sometimes. The kid can put up sick numbers with very little PT. I don't believe you jettison someone with his
abilities without a good look. Its been barely a glimpse.

Minimum of 30 more games before I do anything different with Randolph other than increase his minutes and orchestrate for him to see what he's got. TD and Ray aren't even trying to get him the rock, and he's done little besides shoot from too far out. He should focus on defense, rebounding and garbage points if he can't get the rock in a position to score. Forcing it makes him look inept.

I agree. He looks lost in half court but the second they step on the gas he comes to life. If he is playing in a half court offense I want to him crash the boards as soon as someone drives. I don't believe that D'Antoni wants him taking those jumpers either, not right now anyway. Hopefully Felton and TD will start finding him in transition as well.
