kam is making the point that we've seen this happen before... Jamal's gone off for 50 on his own & we've seen Nate & Wil go off for a combined 65 just last year... what is so significant about the fact that TD & Felton went off for 50 last night is what he's asking.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I'm pretty sure the entire point of the thread is not about the 50 points. If one takes the time to read the post its obvious.

What did your post just add?

Journalism 101 is don't bury your lead. What is Earls' point? The 50 points is what he leads with. Is it scoring 50? or controlling the DEFENSIVE flow (whatever that means -- they sure didn't contain DROSE)? Or whatever he said about Donnie "Walnuts"?

I didn't see a point. I saw random observations rooted in fanfiction and called it out. Not to get myself banned, but this is what happens on internet forums and a moderator needs to know when to step in and when to lay back.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Yes... the flow. Chi was killing our zone/transition defense. Gallo keeps us in this game for now. Out Fields in Chandler. Same result by Knicks still getting eaten up on defense. Enter Douglas. Same.
Out Mozgov. In Turiaf Man to man. Douglas makes Rose an assist guy. Team defense is much better. 70-52 at the half. Rose expends huge energy for any points at the rim. Chicago makes a third quarter run till TD comes and matches Rose till the guy is gassed. Knicks win.
Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

kam77 - If you don't like the heading of a particular thread, no one is forcing you to comment on it. Go have a donut.

You got nothing but bitterness in your response. Nothing entertaining. Nothing of joy. Nothing worthy of a sports forum that is a means to pass the time and spread a bit of shared New Yorker camaraderie or fandom. Nothing.

You refuse to see the Knicks backcourt, no matter how many points they scored, (thank you Olbrannon for he edit) as a unit worthy of some dap after a rare night of significant offensive and defensive output. The headline, my good man, is simply a rouse to start a discussion of Knicks backcourts from Howard Komives to Mike Warren. I like Toney Douglas and Ray Felton feeding off one another. Neither fits the prototypical guard handbook. All they do is produce. I like that.

Not you. You don't see it as that. You only see it as an opportunity to diss The Answer Man.

The Knicks backcourt drops fidee and, kam77, you got nothing but a complaint over the headline?

That is sad.

wow bold. Give me TD each and every day of the week before any of those guys. He may not be as individually talented as any of them but he is a winner and a better player for a team all things considered IMHO.

My thing is Crawford and Robinson arent PG's. They are undersized SG's just like Dougie.

None of those guys are in Stephon Marbury's class. I hate how people forget how good players were in their prime when they were young. Yea he didnt cope well with falling off but I take a 24 yr old Marbury over Dougie any-day.

Anubis - the mere fact you refer to Crawford by some derisive name speaks volumes about the level of respect you hold for him.

Nate was special but a bit on the impulsive side.

Marbury? We were happy to see him come and happy to see him go.

McEnroe: "You cannot be serious."

Mike Wilbon: "the Knicks will never shoot 16 for 23 from three this season"

My issue with Crawful is the guy is super talented. If he was a scrub I wouldnt care but the guy has insane handle and the ability to get to the rim but refuses to drive and take contact.

Crawful had all the physical tools to be an all star caliber PG. He just doesnt get it in his head though.

Anubis - dude, are you bipolar or what?

Besides, why you still have issues with Jamal Crawford, anyway? You are the one who inserted his name over Toney Douglas and Ray Felton as a better alternative, not The Answer Man. If you want to crown Jamal Crawford then crown his azz. He is who he thinks he is. If you prefer Jamal and Nate over Ray Ray and Landry Fields that is a personal preference stuck in some selective memory of yours.

On the other hand, if you wanna win some basketball games... give me the intelligent, hard-working, attentive, alert, unselfish, scaled-down-ego guys any day of the week.

You only see it as an opportunity to diss The Answer Man.

So this guy can insult posters directly by speaking in the third person and the moderators approve?

While all i asked if there was a point to his rambling incoherent post and I get the traffic ticket / slap on the wrist?

Show me what part of the forum etiquette was broken by my post? And look at "The AnswerMan's" post making fun of people who are bi-polar.

That's a KG type crack. Are you bi-polar? I know people who are bi-polar.

kam77 - Okay, so bi-polar may have been an insensitive selection of words. For that The Answer Man offers a sincere apology. Unlike KG, I admit my "bi-polar" comment may have offended some and recognize the error of my choice of vocabulary. I will accept any punishment the moderators deem appropriate.

What was illustrated in the quotes from Anubis, was a distinct conflict of opinion on Jamal Crawford. In one sentence he says Crawford is better than DWTDD and in the next he chides Crwford for not being too bright. Confusing stuff, huh?

Besides kam, didn't you just say you were leaving for good?

Are you bi-polar or what?

dude, I had asked you to move along from this thread politely, and then followed it up more directly. Andrew had a pretty good explanation about the 50 point literal that really wasn't so if you had read the first post.

And you think that is censorship? And complained that it was happening and now request that I what, censor a post? make up your mind.

BTW, it's pretty obvious you are a waste of time. Enjoy Elba.
