That being said this is a little fantasy game--how many games will the Heat win---my guess is 54-28 behind Orlando and Boston. They are paper thin--I have seen no evidence that they will be able to overcome this deficiency with their porous role players--on top of it Bosh and Wade are injuries waiting to happen. Theyll be forced into minutes they can no longer handle

BRIGGS, out of curiosity, why do you see Orlando winning it all? They seem to br bringing back the same roster which can't be great news when you consider how many other contenders improved over the off-season (LA, Boston, San Antonio, Miami of course became a contender, etc.). I mean I think Orlando has a very good team but after not being able to get the job done in past seasons, I feel like Dwight Howard has to take his game to a whole new level for that team to beat the powerhouses. I'm not saying that's not possible because Dwight is a freak athlete who has improved significantly over his career but I'm not sure that I see his offensive game taking a dramatic leap forward after one off-season (even if he did work with Hakeem). If they play a healthy Boston team in the playoffs, I think the Celtics still beat them like they have in the past.

The team is ready to win it all--its their time. They have everything you need and they have put their time in. Barring injury to Howard--they win this year. They can still play at a high level with injury

I think 60+ wins sounds about right, barring any lengthy injuries to Los Tres Amigos. But they will not get past the second round of the playoffs as they are too thin and have only Bosh up front. I also think Wade will spend some time in street clothes this season, and the Heat's playoffs will depend on limiting Wade's minutes during the regular season.

Long term prediction: LeDouche will realize he phooked up big time in "taking his talents to South Beach". Hopefully, he will still be able to admire his suntan when Carmelo/Stat/CP3/Randolph are toasting with Dom at The Tavern on the Green after landing their first chip. BOOYA, biatches!

At this point briggs is looking at what is with orlando. They are freaking stacked and a real team reaching its potential than Boston who is getting older by the minute.

If Vince can stay healthy and is actually in shape then they are the real deal.

As I see how briggs sees it, Miami will have injury issues. The 73 wins is based on all three playing 82 games with big minutes. Doet that happen?

Orlando is impressive. Are they up to bringing it the next level?

If you combine their defense with their offensive abilities--look at their experience inside scoring outside scoring multiple quality big men depth everywhere powerfully built players athletic it s going to take injury to stop this team--as is they are the best 1-14 If Bynum comes back healthy--then they will beat the Lakers 4-2

If they are healthy, and Mike Miller (a big loss) is already down, then Id say 65-17 while being the best offensive team in the league. I cant see how they`ll reach the finals though. Not enough depth, no frontcourt defense (Bosh is just as bad as Lee on defense) and the already raised injury concerns. Then we`ll land Melo next Summer and we`ll be right with them. :-D

I know it's preseason, but watching labron against the Hawks (cause thats what it he was) last night, he did his thing and everybody stood around (only one other player in double figures) and watched. Mean while the hawks had 5 different players in double figures, and there chemistry was on the money.

Miami will win a lot of games, but it's so obvious that if you have chemistry and some talent, your going to be a lot tougher to beat. There's no way in the world that wade and labron will not dominate the ball with Iso's freezing out there team mates for much of the game.

It's not going to be a cake walk for them like people think, and the fragile wade and bosh are always a injury wating..i don't see them winning a ring for at least another year..

I just think those guys are to young, to talented and to super starish to take back seat when the game is on the line. Chemistry will be a major issue..

52 wins

mike miller is already in a cast and out for half the season.

IraHeatBeat

Mike Miller to be in cast four weeks and then in a splint after that, meaning half the season is already.

i could see them "only" winning 52 games or so and then coming on in the post-season. i don't think they win it all this season though.

The Heat lack depth... and even with Bron and Bosh they are a bit light on rebounding... I'll say around 55 wins.
Rose is not the answer.

I wanted to agree, but with Miller's recent injury holding him out until January, I think 48-52 wins might be more realistic. Yes, I'm undercutting them a bit. Why should I give those primadonnas the benefit of the doubt?

If Gallo and Randolph play up to their abilities ad we ADDRESS things such as a third C and an extra rebounder instead of having useless players like Williams and PEJ on the bench--then we should win 50 games. That is dependent on addressing the rebounding and Gallinari and Randolph stepping up and playing like they can.

The Heat can only play so well being paper thin. They will hurt as they try to over compensate by using their brand players too many minutes. This Heta team is a far cry from the 70 win Bulls--not even on the same radar up and down the roster. This thing that you can win with 2-3 players is absurd. You need to be 9 deep and talented with extra depth to spare.

And I can freely say that I think Amare is going to prove he is a MUCH better player than Bosh. The Heat are weak upfront--name 1 team that won the title being that weak?

You are so stubborn. What needs to happen for you to admit that Danilo Gallinari and Anthony Randolph as just not that good?
