I want the Knicks to get a few more victories before I start calling a 34 win projection preposterous.

Our current pace, which has been against a lot of the lower level teams, has us pointed towards 46-47 wins.

Let's start calling out writers when we're a little further along in the season.

The product on the court certainly looks a lot better than it has in a long time though. Stern may have done us a favor with the schedule that will pay dividends throughout the season. We have a cake early schedule, but there are a lot of back-to-backs packed into it. The next month is a murderer's row, but the games are spaced out. That's about as good as you can hope for. Hopefully we can take advantage of it.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

They get paid to entertain and get hits for the website.

I contend that ESPN has a strategy in place that it's best bet to get hits out of NY fans is to piss them off. And it makes the rest of their readership happy - aka most of the rest of this country which has a low opinion of NY. Just my little conspiracy theory.

Second Worst Preview

"Fields, the 39th pick of the draft who has lit up Las Vegas with a solid summer league, has requested to wear No. 6... It is a good sign that Fields is up to the challenge of wearing No. 6, knowing he will get some extra attention because of his choice."

The only place Fields got extra attention for choosing number 6 was in the mind of a hack at The New York Post.

f/u espn. Why even take them seriously; they had Jersey Natz in the Playoffs ahead of us so, go figure
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Most of them could not diagram a play if they were tracing the play you just diagrammed and a lot of them get their "educated" guesses from the other sportswriters next to them, that also got it wrong.

I stopped watching ESPN channels about 10 years ago. Really like them for a while while in college - Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann rocked. Kenny Manyes (sp?) kicked ass too.

I pretty much stop reading ESPN.com articles for the most part and don't surf on their site outside of stat pages.

Company has gone too commercial for me. It's not sports, it's purely entertainment and anything-for-eyeballs and ratings. bleh. No soul to the product anymore.

you can tell that since NY cleaned its act up (no longer looking mismanaged) it's like they don't even want to talk about us. When IT was here they loved to detail all of NY woes and everything they perceived to be wrong with the franchise.

I put them in the same class as fox news.

from esn to players in contract years-- knicks have been pimped out for years. that espn article and this pic is a good reminder of that. and frankly has made this moving on up like the jeffersons win streak, that much more sweeter.

F Lebron.
I don't care how far we get in the playoffs this year (unlike Briggs, I don't think going all the way is yet a possibility), but I'd give anything to send the Heat home this year.
