Also I don't know what looked right other than the obvious.

If we all think it will take at least 20 games then with still 5 preseason games left are we already calling for feltons replacement.

Ridenhour wanted 3 years. We overpaid felton (in my opinion) so he would take a 2 year deal.

Felton is an asset, an asset with a reasonable contract, and one that expires after next season.

Donnie Walnuts is looking down the road also.

Lets be real, Felton is likely a solid backup. We do with him for now until he gets better or an opportinity presents itself.

Rebuilding has unanswered questions early in the process.

why would he be a backup? He was the PG for a playoff team. He held opponents to one of the lowest FG% in the league. He is a leader and a very tough player. Like a couple of guys he's struggling to find his rhythm but he continues to defend when all else fails.

I fully expect him to rise up to the expected level but even at his best I don't think he is Starphuch material. That is when other teams fans would want him over their guy.

Fish, Felton is fine for now and I expect him to be better. Its way early so Im cool with him.

Rautins is our third pg. Why do we need another one? It is not like the third guard is going to play unless Felton gets hurt and if that happens, we can always go grab someone from the d-league or some old vet.

Don't really follow college ball but Felton in his first 3 games looks like he needs to learn how to execute the pick-and-roll. He is fine when he pushes the ball which is good for SSOL but when we go halfcourt he looks lost in the pick-and-roll. TD and Rautins looked better running it.

last year MDA had DLee getting the ball at the top of the key early in the half court offense and then passing and moving after that, and now Moz or Amare is doing the same. I dont EVER recall Phoenix running that type of set. It's more Nash handling the ball and finding space and using that with Amare in the PnR.

I fully expect Felton to settle into a solid level of performance for this team. As for our 2nd and 3rd string PG, I really think we will eventually see Rautins pass TD. TD is a SG in a PG body. Rautins it seems is a PG in a SG body. At least from the mental perspective. Rautins seems to have far better PG instincts than either Felton or TD. He's just not a guy that has a ton of experience doing it yet, but I like what I see from him in terms of decision making and hustle. Overall we seem to still have a similar problem. We need a CP3, but have had to settle for guys that aren't great Pure PG's. For now I think we can get by with the 3 guys we have, Felton, TD and Rautins. Especially if Felton gets it going.
