He was the PG for a playoff team. He held opponents to one of the lowest FG% in the league. He is a leader and a very tough player. Like a couple of guys he's struggling to find his rhythm but he continues to defend when all else fails. "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

That is when other teams fans would want him over their guy. I look forward to inflated expectations once Rubio is a Knick and comparisons to Milos Vujanic arise! Fish, Felton is fine for now and I expect him to be better. Its way early so Im cool with him. |

I dont see any PG being able to guard him with his size and strength. Now for this system with D'Antoni we would need a guy who can make plays like Curry or Jennings. ![]() The troubles that Felton is experiencing are to be expected. He just played for a good while in a more restrictive system. Now all of a sudden he's got a completely new team, system and style of play to adjust to. JUST REMEMBER THAT DUHON LOOKED AWFUL IN PRESEASON IN HIS 1ST YEAR. Then when the season started he finally got the hang of it and was our most important player.
I fully expect Felton to settle into a solid level of performance for this team. As for our 2nd and 3rd string PG, I really think we will eventually see Rautins pass TD. TD is a SG in a PG body. Rautins it seems is a PG in a SG body. At least from the mental perspective. Rautins seems to have far better PG instincts than either Felton or TD. He's just not a guy that has a ton of experience doing it yet, but I like what I see from him in terms of decision making and hustle. Overall we seem to still have a similar problem. We need a CP3, but have had to settle for guys that aren't great Pure PG's. For now I think we can get by with the 3 guys we have, Felton, TD and Rautins. Especially if Felton gets it going. |

Seems like perhaps LB took the wind out of him ala the open court a bit? Yeah Nash's ability to remain a threat at all times while keeping his dribble was a great asset. It's not really what SSOL is all about but people think it was. That was just Nash being a great PG and understanding how to manipulate a defense. He would get them all flustered just so that he could setup his guys. Most PG's can't do that. Because Nash is such a great shooter from anywhere on the floor, it means that he's at an advantage at all times. Felton is not that kind of PG. He's gonna have to get better at setting up his teammates on the floor and not making so many meaningless passes to players that are in bad positions on the court, with no options around them to pass to. Felton is so lost right now that it's effecting our spacing and rhythm. I do believe he'll eventually get the hang of it tho. I just hope he doesn't get so down on himself that he does a Duhon and can't get out of his funk. Last year was just unbearable from that standpoint. Duhon was a mental wreck!!! |
