interesting that the mayor has been hitting shots at a ridiculous rate...won't last, from a likelihood standpoint, but good for confidence

This new tech rule is the worst thing Stern has come up with and Stern has had some bad ideas.

I disagree. At the start we're gonna see some ridiculous ejections, but the long term effect on the game should be really positive. No more complaining, no more whinging. Just some honest sacking up. See rugby for an example of how it'll look.

This game is about emotion.

If a guy gets t'd up for "excessive celebration" after a basket then that's bull****. A guy can get t'd up for being mad at himself. This new rule is a joke and making the league soft and emotionless.

I'm all for being quicker on the trigger if the player is following the ref/continuously whining, but I don't like that they can get a tech for reactions.

Hopefully this will loosen up once the regular season begins.

No you're right about the celebration thing if thats part of the rules. Maybe theres a difference between jumping for joy and graphically describing the opposing teams interaction with their mothers. Complete with gesticulations. I doubt anyone gets T'd up for pumping a fist and banging a chest on the way back on D.

Besides I think the biggest part of this new rule is complaining and whining.

Mosgov looked solid. If can remain consistent he could surpass Turiaf in the starting lineup.

I don't mind the rule if it actually brings about change in the player's mindset.

As much as we hate the refs, imagine if baseball players complained about every call from the umpire? The amount of complaining players do after every ticky tacky foul has hurt the game as much as refs blowing whistles on ticky tacky fouls.

I really don't like the new rule cuz I don't like things that can effect the outcome of a game like that. You get some ref with his panties in a bunch and he T's you up extra quick. I never liked that coming off the bench rule either. Not just cuz we've been victim of it, but those rules that don't leave any room for rational thought are just stupid. These are human beings and it's so hard to not react when you're in a tight situation. If some guy comes up and hits your brother in the face it's real hard not to react to that even you know there's a rule against retaliating. I think there has to be some allowance for human response. Now there was nothing wrong with how things already were. You could have short outburst and then you had to collect yourself.
