I hope he corrects this quickly and gets more aggressive going to the basket, enough with jacking up three pointers. I think he might have picked up some bad habits from Al Harrington.
You almost have to set up a post-up play for him, since his primary role at this point is to open the floor up.
He had some success posting up last year- and he should build on it this year. I think this is especially so when his shot is not going down from the outside.
The offense has to develop a flow to it, and we clearly don't see one at this time, but it is still too early to really make predictions about how this team will develop.
I was very happy with how Rautins played yesterday, but that was only one game, and it comes after a terrible SL performance. Do we extrapolate his performance from yesterday, and declare that he has a spot in the rotation? No way, because one game does not give us enough info to make a decision.
Gallinari was showing a more diverse game by the end of last year, and you have to assume that it was not an abberation and that he will build on this.
At this point the team does not have an identity or a chemistry to it, and I don't think this is so strange since we have so many new faces.
I just feel that people are getting too excited at this point, and that what you are seeing now is not what you will be seeing 25 games into the season.
