martin - nice catch on the up and under move. Or is it an under and up move?

Either way, not many rookies make that move without traveling. Imagine having a team of players who know where they are on the floor at all times.

I hope Fields and Rautins are getting comfortable in Europe because that's where they'll be playing most of their careers.

An Islesfan statement at it's purest and rawest form. Classic.

fishmike - is it just me or does Landry Fields remind you of a pumped up Matt Barnes? Nah, it's just me. I despise comparisons.

Never mind.

no comparisons but the way he moves reminds me more of our own Allan Houston.

Houston was much more compact- Fields has some real length to him and has that stringy strength.

If he could shoot like Houston, by the way, many would not have as much trouble letting Gallo go, I think.

He is always moving and looking to get into position for the ball, which is something I like.

He is definitely going to become a fan favorite if given enough playing time.

Anything to back this comment up... like some attempt at reasoning?

Or are you just being provocative?

If your thread title wraps over two lines, its too long.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Or you better get with the wide screen program and upgrade to a 17" Mac Book Pro

Landry Fields is a right handed Mike Riordan. But comparisons are a waste of time.

I was going to say Rick Fox or Bobby Phills Jr. I can definitely see fields getting better in terms of scoring the ball, but he already has an innate sense of where he needs to position himself on the basketball court. He is definitely a steal and he more than makes up for the Ariza giveaway to Orlando.

Pippen used to always be in the right place like that...but Fields can't shoot that well...I hate comparisons anyway.

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."
