I was gonna say that our 5 that are just slightly above average are ActionJackson, Panos, eVil, Big C & Bitty!!!

What I don't understand is why some people treat Carmelo like he's MJ. With 25 shots a game and frequent trips to the line, it should be easy to average 30 pts per.

Why don't we just stick with our team as constructed and watch a young exciting deep team gel together. Melo hasn't won anything, he had one nice playoff run and that's it. He isn't a top five player in the NBA. You could even make the case that he isn't a top 5 player in his own conference.

Obviously, there is a risk that AR and Gallo don't pan out, but I just don't see that happening. Defense wins in this league as does size and right now we have a lot of it.

We have waited a long time to be relevant and I can wait one more season if it means being ready to really make a run at a championship

I said this in the other thread, but the biggest reason we'll probably make this deal is DOLAN. We can't forget how much he wants to stick it to the Nets and their Brooklyn house party. If he gets Melo it's a death blow to the Nets who won't be able to take the spotlight from the Knicks with 2 bigtime All Stars on the roster. I've doubted it, but now I'm positive that Walsh will make this happen for Dolan.

I was going to post this in an AR love thread the other day but didnt want to be a party pooper. I totally agree though, its like this guy is the second coming or something - the key to it all. I think he could be a decent player but I hardly think he is untouchable.

not sure where you get this stuff from... Melo has never averaged 25 shot attempts per game in his entire career... last year he averaged 21.8 shots/game & averaged 28.2 points on 46% shooting... since when are those not impressive numbers? for his career he's averaged 19 shot attempts per game... that's less volume shooting than Lebron James.
