No, you can only use the players as per the roster on the RealGM website.

Are you trying a 3-team dela or more than one 2-team trade? The simulator is only one level deep, and the roster don't change after a trade.

Either/or, Post the trade page in here, with the Trade ID. Make sure they get ACCEPTED.

I'm interested in seeing what you come up with.

Thats the only trade I could come up with and I'm not even sure if Por would accept it. Since I couldn't do the trade by simply using the Knicks (with the new additions) and the Blazers. I just chose a 3-way so I could look at the salaries and match them up. Then I just typed out the trade. Even though I couldn't complete the trade on realgm.com (since they don't change rosters after trades) I looked at the salaries to make sure they would work so I'm pretty sure that this trade would be completed. There is probably a better way to land Sheed, along with Curry, but at that point I figured that it didn't really matter the only other way to land him would be by trading either Hardaway, Houston, or Marbury which would hurt our team even more than the trade I made. So that was the only trade I could come up with.

Okay... Now we can't trade any of the players who we just got because there's a 60-day restriction. We could still possibly pull off deals to get all the players we talked about, s3231...

It's a stretch, but here goes...

First we get Sheed:

New York trades: C Michael Doleac (4.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 13.5 minutes)
PF Othella Harrington (4.5 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.5 apg in 13.8 minutes)
SF Keith Van Horn (17.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 34.3 minutes)
New York receives: SF Rasheed Wallace (17.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.7 apg in 38.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -8.9 ppg, -7.3 rpg, and +0.1 apg.

Portland trades: SF Rasheed Wallace (17.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.7 apg in 38.5 minutes)
Portland receives: C Michael Doleac (4.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 35 games)
PF Othella Harrington (4.5 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.5 apg in 31 games)
SF Keith Van Horn (17.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 36 games)
Change in team outlook: +8.9 ppg, +7.3 rpg, and -0.1 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED
Trade ID number 1429724

Then we get Crawford and Curry:

New York trades: SF Shandon Anderson (7.8 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.2 apg in 23.7 minutes)
C Kurt Thomas (11.7 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 2.0 apg in 33.4 minutes)
PG Frank Williams (4.7 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 13.1 minutes)
New York receives: SG Jamal Crawford (16.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 5.6 apg in 35.1 minutes)
SF Eddie Robinson (5.5 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.1 apg in 18.1 minutes)
C Eddy Curry (12.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 0.8 apg in 27.3 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +11.0 ppg, -1.5 rpg, and +1.9 apg.

Chicago trades: SG Jamal Crawford (16.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 5.6 apg in 35.1 minutes)
SF Eddie Robinson (5.5 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.1 apg in 18.1 minutes)
C Eddy Curry (12.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 0.8 apg in 27.3 minutes)
Chicago receives: SF Shandon Anderson (7.8 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.2 apg in 43 games)
C Kurt Thomas (11.7 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 2.0 apg in 42 games)
PG Frank Williams (4.7 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 37 games)
Change in team outlook: -11.0 ppg, +1.5 rpg, and -1.9 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED
Trade ID number 1429731

like I said, it's a big stretch. If anyone can come up with a Portland deal where more players are involved, let's see it. It's definitely workable. There are other combinations that make the trades more balanced statwise, but I tried to work the deals according to the rumored trade proposals (I added Robinson to the Bulls trade, due to the rumor that they want to get rid of his contract too).
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Yea I'm still trying to come up with something else. The deal you came up with is actually pretty good. Chicago probably wouldn't accept that deal but hey you never know. It is difficult to land Curry, Crawford, and Sheed w/o giving away your whole bench along with Van Horn, but it can be done.

Here we go:
New York trades: C Kurt Thomas (11.7 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 2.0 apg in 33.4 minutes)
SF Keith Van Horn (17.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 34.3 minutes)
C Michael Doleac (4.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 13.5 minutes)
New York receives: SF Rasheed Wallace (17.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.7 apg in 38.5 minutes)
SF Qyntel Woods (4.6 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.9 apg in 13.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -11.5 ppg, -10.2 rpg, and -0.5 apg.

Portland trades: SF Rasheed Wallace (17.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.7 apg in 38.5 minutes)
SF Qyntel Woods (4.6 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.9 apg in 13.9 minutes)
Portland receives: C Kurt Thomas (11.7 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 2.0 apg in 42 games)
SF Keith Van Horn (17.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 36 games)
C Michael Doleac (4.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 35 games)
Change in team outlook: +11.5 ppg, +10.2 rpg, and +0.5 apg.

POR also gives us a 1st-round pick in the deal.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to New York and Portland being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. New York and Portland had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Then to land Curry and Crawford:

New York trades: SG Allan Houston (20.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.1 apg in 37.4 minutes)
PF Othella Harrington (4.5 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.5 apg in 13.8 minutes)
PF Mike Sweetney (1.5 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 0.2 apg in 4.9 minutes)
PG Frank Williams (4.7 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 13.1 minutes)
New York receives: PF Antonio Davis (9.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 33.1 minutes)
C Eddy Curry (12.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 0.8 apg in 27.3 minutes)
SG Jamal Crawford (16.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 5.6 apg in 35.1 minutes)
PG Rick Brunson (3.0 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 2.0 apg in 9.6 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +11.2 ppg, +12.3 rpg, and +4.8 apg.

Chicago trades: PF Antonio Davis (9.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 33.1 minutes)
C Eddy Curry (12.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 0.8 apg in 27.3 minutes)
SG Jamal Crawford (16.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 5.6 apg in 35.1 minutes)
PG Rick Brunson (3.0 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 2.0 apg in 9.6 minutes)
Chicago receives: SG Allan Houston (20.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.1 apg in 37 games)
PF Othella Harrington (4.5 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.5 apg in 31 games)
PF Mike Sweetney (1.5 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 0.2 apg in 13 games)
PG Frank Williams (4.7 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 37 games)
Change in team outlook: -11.2 ppg, -12.3 rpg, and -4.8 apg.

NY also trades to Chicago, Portland's 2003 1st round pick.

We would probably be better off to wait till the offseason to make these moves since these trades would definitely ruin this team's chemistry for now. But we would probably have to do the Sheed trade now since a lot of other teams are going after him. Anyway, these trades give us the new athletic fast-paced team that Isiah wants. Our two major losses would be Houston and Van Horn but we would have a better team overall after the trades. Our bench would not take that much of a hit, while our starting lineup in my opinion would be the same for now, but it would be very good in a couple of years once Curry, Woods, and Crawford are playing at their full potential. Brunson was just a throw-in to make the trade work financially but he actually has had some decent games with the Knicks and I think he would be happy to come back even though he would probably get no playing time or would be cut.

Our lineup would be:

Curry-Mutombo-Trybanski
Wallace-Davis
Q. Woods- Hardaway
J.Crawford-S. Anderson
Marbury-Norris-Brunson

Plus, with this team, Isiah would probably take over as coach to discipline the kids. Mark Aguirre would also help Curry become the beast of the East.

Wouldnt including Draft picks change the nature of the trade? Why doesnt Realgm.com place that into the equation. Can't you trade a contract for a pick?

Unfortunately you can't trade picks in RealGM, toodark.

If you know or find a better trade sim then RealGM's, then let us know. Alot of Knicks fans are heavily speculating on what this next Zeke deal could or would be, and like to analyze using trade simulators like RealGM.

what about something like

Portland gets:Keith Van Horn and Eddy Curry

New York gets:Rasheed Wallace, Jamal Crawford, Jerome Williams, Erobb

Chicago gets: Allan Houston, Frank Williams

I doubt the salaries match... but if a trade went down between the 3, i imagine it would go something like this, maybe missing a player or two.
