Houston doesn't scare me there are so many teams in the west who are better, but it will be a good test. They better play their asses off tonight so they can at least go on a 7 game win streak.

Knicks are a work in progress.

They win by not getting blown out. They win by playing a much better game. We will not go undefeated, and we need to win this game to mark progress.

But it would be cool.

The game against the Rockets on WED will show how un atheletic we are in the frontcourt. And this is the position we should have up graded (1st)not the pg position. We already had one.

You've ghot to be kidding me.
After all this time, you still amaze me with some of these comments.

When you are weak in BOTH positions... (yes... even with Frank it was a weak spot, Playa!) you don't prioritize. You set a goal for the caliber of player you want... then get the first one that comes. In this case... all that was out there was Stephon, Rasheed, and Shareef. No sane and INTELLIGENT (that's the key word for you, playa)would pass over Steph as he is the rarest and hardest to find of the 3.

I think that if Yao starts out well and continues for the whole game, the Knicks will be in trouble.
i'm sure that lenny will put doleac on yao. he played great deffense of him last year. we blew em out on their own court. i look for a tight game this time around and i'm betting my money on the knicks to pull it out. if all of the knicks step up their game to another level, we got a lot of weapons, i expect a blow-out again. i want the knicks to beat up on van gundy's deffense, just to let people know, we are here!

This game is gonnashow some of you what real playoff defenses will do to us. Vandunce I don't like, but he will have the clamps on for this knicks game wednesday. We don't defend that well against real teams with full with stars on their rosterswho are healthy. This is the first test .

Good response.

I will add to it.

First off HOUSTON DOES NOT HAVE AN AHTLETIC FRONT COURT!!!!!! THEY HAVE AN ATHLETIC BACKCOURT THOUGH!!!!!!!!

Secondly, MARBURY IS A TOP 3 PG. IT IS SO OBVIOUS now what a real difference a PG makes. He can make lesser front court players better. KT is not athletic but he is solid. He will pull Cato away from the hoop with his 10 foot shot.

NY at the time of the deal had tons of depth in the front court!

When you get a chance to get a top 15 player, you get him, you don't pass it up! Of course, your boy Layden would have waited until Marbury had ankle replacement surgery and then traded for him!

Playa, take some advice and keep quiet, you are sounding very DUMB!

We need to even the score against the Rockets. I wanna see Starbury contain the franchise long enough for the "W". I wanna see NY reverse the 32 point blowout.

KVH you rested up ?..........Get ready !!!

BTW......Allan, Its showtime

ditto. I don't like that cat. I wan't KVH to score 25+ with 10+ boards. KVH matches up well with Houston SF (Jimmy Jackson), he has problems with athletic and long SF who can play D.

Marbury line - 29 pts, 20 assists, 4 steals
KVH line - 27 pts, 12 boards
Houston line - 23 pts
KT line - 15 pts 14 boards
Deke line - 10 boards 5 blocks

the franchise against against starbury. let's see who wins that match-up and how it leads to the player's team winning. the franchise clovered steph and his team in the first match-up, i don't expect steph to lay low in this game. let's go knicks

This will be tough no doubt! I think this team has to go to the next level now. I don't like all the jump shots. Not on the road anyway. Put some pressure on their D. If they would learn how to up fake and bolt for the hole and up fake again, Then they would be punishing teams. remember they are the best free throw shooters in league. I know its all gravy when those J's are fallin, but when you hit a scoring drout.... GO TO THE HOLE!!... You too Allan!

Let's pretend we know how to get a tough road win!!!!!

Marbury is quickly proving that he does belong, although the Knicks are clearly benefiting from the team's recent weak schedule. The run has come with wins over Orlando, Seattle, Chicago and a Vince Carter-less Toronto squad.

"We're not fooled by [the streak]," Wilkens said. "We've taken steps in the right direction, but we still have several more steps to take."

This game will show how a frontcourt "STAR" WAS MUCH MORE NEEDED to contend against playoff bound teams who are looking to go far in playioffs not just make them.

The most important thing in tonite's game IMO is focusing on guys that shoot High% shots. I think we win tonite but I really think Lenny will concentrate more on the defense. I love the incredible fire power the Knicks have been packing for the last 3 games.

Looks like even playa is liking the new Isiah/Wilkens regime.

Tough game tonight. Wish I could forecast a win, but good West Conf. teams don't lose that many home games to East Conf. competition in today's NBA. Expectations should be set realistically. 4 games, 3 at home, against lousy comp. doesn't make the Knicks a top team. I think they're heading in the right direction.

Even if they lose tonight, so long as they're competitive, I'll still believe they're heading in the right direction. And I'm not conceding the game ... think they have about a 40% chance of winning ... and I certainly can't see them getting blown out again. Jim Jackson played better than he's ever played in that game. And the Knicks played about as badly as they can.

This team still has holes, I will say it. But I think they are much improved in 2 weeks and thats something to be excited about. I do not expect a W tonight, but I expect them to keep building momentum over the next few weeks and to make the playoffs (hopefully doing some damage once they are in). I love this team and I want them to do well - I want them to win tonight, but I understand they wont win every game.
