I agree he can play some one guard in spot minutes. isergio is implying that I and other people believe he's on Magic Johnsons level, argueably the greatest PG of all time. Definitely top 5. I never said such a thing in my life. “Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute

The reason Randolph shouldnt EVER play PG is because of his suspect decision making. Just because you have handle doesnt mean you are a PG. Please see Jamal Crawford.

funny, mda did suggest randolph could be used in the back court after we landed him. we were discussing this a bit, mostly as a sg.
i can't say it will likely happen, or even if it would work, but i would not be shocked to see mda tinker with some lineups in some situations, particularly during pre-season and maybe early on that feature randolph in the back court. Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...

The guy has played 70 games in the NBA--Im sure you havevnt seen more than 3-4 of them--and Randolph probably played little--so you have very little basis to make the statement given his age and experience level. That being said neither do I--but I think he has the potential to move to the 1 guard at times. RIP Crushalot😞

I have seen him 20 to 30 times since he has been in the league. Now Im no expert on the guy but from what I have seen he makes suspect plays. I expect young guys to make mistakes but Randolph should be finishing plays not starting them. NY Knicks - Retirement home for players and GMs

Either way...regardless of who else is on the floor Randolph getting a rebound and just taking off with it is fine by me.
Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Camby was used to bring the ball up or at least help with that int he back court when we did the big Spree-Houston back court. He was also used to guard guards sometimes.
No reason Randolph can't to do the same. A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Magic Johnson is obviously a joke but some of you are completely crazy with Anthony Randolph and his expectations. I've never in my life read so much hype about a player. |

Here's an update on AR, sorry if anyone posted it elsewhere!
http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/story/2010-09-15/anthony-randolph-settles-in-with-knicks Highlights - Sounds like he's been reassured by staff that he's not going anywhere. Has been working on his shooting with Phil Weber, taking hundreds of shots a day. |
