And I want them to be paid accordingly to their effort.
This is not happening anymore; and this is the main thing that should be changed on all levels - corporate and government.

The problems is that the private sector in this country will not create the kind of jobs- industry/factory/etc. which made this nation the economic dynamo it once was. Oppressive governments around the world restrict worker's rights, and U.S. companies have no problems sending out their work to nations were workers are treated like serfs.

Industrial/unionized jobs were at one time an opportunity for individuals who did not want to continue up the education ladder, and they allowed people to carve out a nice, comfortable life if they worked hard, assured employment, decent retirement benefits and health insurance.

Competition from economies which treat workers like garbage and pays them pennies is impossible competition, and U.S. multinationals are attracted to them like flies to shyt.

Bash Bush all you want, because it was warranted he did a lot of things that were counter productive and hurt the economy. When was the last time the government democrat or republican really made you comfortable.

If you work hard you should be able to do whatever you want with your money. Because you make more they shouldn’t take more.

This administration is in over it’s head. Let’s not forgot that the President got a free pass, favorable media coverage and very little attention was paid to his tremendous inexperience. His administration has very little business experience and his policies are all counter productive to creating jobs. When you’re jamming healthcare down people’s throats when the economy is sinking and you tell the people your jobs are the number one priority it’s bad for business. When you’re trying to increase taxes on capital gains, carried interest, these things are counter productive. Venture Capitalists are not going to help fund start up entrepreneurs. Same goes with real estate, if you are going to tax people that help invest in deals for a return you’re hurting the construction workers, architects, attorneys, general contractors, everyone loses with his policies.

New York City robs you blind everyday, I don’t need more government. Money here isn’t money like it is in other states. You tax people more they pass it onto the consumer. Whose fault is it that this state is bleeding money everyday? Transportation is up, dry cleaning, food, property tax, there is a tax on everything. That’s why people are pissed.

I pay the Tea Party no attention and as someone that is conservative I have no time for the Palins, Becks, Rush Limbaughs of the world. Live your life, work hard, help people.

Now how is that supposed to work? Think about it a bit. a larger percentage perhaps not.

The Bush admin put this cart in the ditch and buried it to the axles while skimming to line their pockets for over 8 years. Gonna take more than 2 years to pull it out. And Obama has these guys harrassing every decision.

Cannot agree more on this.
We have fascist government which characterized by merging large business with political system.
This kind of system always using populism and often nationalism and racism to keep population in check.
This how German and Italian Natcism stared their infamous run.
They will go to war to cover up economical blunders and get more profits sacrificing the lives of the best citizens fooled by propaganda.
And this we see in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Tea-parties and liberals are like Ghitlerugent in serving the power-to-be. They are using them to put the voices of reason deep on the background.
It is time for working America to stand up and reject this polices which graging us into disaster.

Like most of the country there is little centrist opinions, or options really.

I am dissapointed in Obama as he has failed to use his advantage and assume a strong leadership position.

I like him, voted for him and believe in his views and was not looking for a miricle. He has not had enough time to be labled ineffective but he is afraid in some manner to assert.

I don't agree with the Tea party and what it stands for as its a "nod and wink-wink" but right or wrong this is a voice of the people. You can't ingonre it even if its not correct.

I think a statement like:

The Republicans are going to simply cut taxes on the rich, cut spending for the middle-class and poor, stop all regulations so big business can continue to cut corners to make an extra buck, basically let all the poor and lower middle-class in this country tough it out, while they sit on their yachts,

Can also be construed as over reactionary as most tea party quotes can be.

That is an emotional statement which is understandable and born out of frustration. So is much of the tea party.

Fault me for not being strongly involved with either but I have to say I find myself not in agreement to fully support the democrats as well as the republicans. I hate the negative retoric from the right but Im hearing a lot of left emotion that is not all that correct either.

A lot of people are getting a whole lot wrong these days! Tough times for ALL!

With both Dems and Reps are going extreme we need some centrist political movement to represent middle and upper-middle class to serve as a voice of reason.
I think that libertarian movement as weak as it is should get more traction. We need something to balance the power off government which is extended to critical levels for democracy.

The right and the left are both contributors to the political debate in this country.

The left gets funded by rich liberal guys just as much as the right gets funded by rich conservatives.

Funding of political causes by rich individuals is one of the fundamental supports of a free society - this is the reason why the control of the means of production must be dispersed to individuals as opposed to being concentrated centrally by either the government or one group of people.

The fact that dissent to the ruling establishment, whether you think it is right or wrong is getting funded well is a great thing and proves that our republican system, and that is what we have by the way, not a democracy thankfully (a utopia that works no better then communism) is a live and well.

There is a million ways to make money in this country. So many are unemployed because we are going through a culture shock in a way, as this and the previous generation has been raised with a sense of entitlement that if you go go college you are guaranteed a safe corporate job where you can put in a half-hearted effort and snooze your way to a comfortable retirement.

This is all the while immigrants come into this country every year and go form nothing to comfortable lives because they put in real effort at whatever it is they do and do not expect anything from anybody, whether they are running small businesses or doing high tech jobs that Americas refuse to learn.

Stop bitching and learn do do something that is demand well.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
