I think the same applies to a guy like Timo. The pace is so fast that guys will get more touches per game than usual. So playing 10 minutes is more like 15. I expect we'll be up around 108-110 ppg.

Godo question... will think about it for the NBA. Joe Montana/Steve Young comes to mind immediately for me though. I think there's something to be said from learning the ropes from a truly excellent player.

I will say I do not think developing forwards behind other forwards is a great idea, but in the world of problems it's a great problem to have

(Also why I favor a Chandler for Fernandez swap)

Maybe losing Randolph and Gallo in a trade wouldnt be that bad if they wouldnt blossom here anyway. I just cant see two young forward developing playing behind Amare and Melo. Where will the minutes and shots come from for these young guys?

Does anyone know an example of a player developing into a star playing behind a star?

this has been the mindset this franchise has used to trade away young players and draft picks. And that same mindset has created a lost decade of 20+ win seasons.

Its time to stop.

What happens if we sign Melo and Amare goes done for a season? Or Melo does? Plenty of room for a sixth man off the bench. AR, Amare & Melo with Gallo first off the bench.

Om terms of star players- how about Kevin McHale?

There's not enough room for all those fwds. If you are talking about signing Melo next summer, its not fair to have talent like, Gallo AND Slim in the bench. One would be ok because D'antoni plays a hard 8 man rotation....so even if they do wait and sign Melo (if he's even available still), Knicks will still have to make a move.

I personally would rather keep Anthony Randolph cuz of his defense and change of pace off the bench with Melo and Amar'e starting.

Terrell Brandon came off the bench for Mark Price for years and was very raw....when mark price retired Brandon was ready and he eventually became an all-star. But the Knicks have two developing small fwds. Cleveland only had one developing pg off the bench at one period in time.
