supposedly we have to assume the contracts of williams, e-rob or davis. i know davis is like 60 but he plays harder & better than some 20yr olds & has 2yrs left after this yr. not to mention the fact that he's a work-a-holic & profesional.<-justa thought.
as for crawford, wilkens could play him at back-up 1 and 2 so he'd get his mins and give houston alot of rest. penny could be strictly a backup 3 to kvh. or backup 2 if need be.
don't know if this works but, kt/f-will/harrington for crawford/davis.

I was thinking... I think I heard that the Knicks can not trade Moochie in a deal that combines him with other players cause of the 60/90/whatever day trade rule. Is that true? If so I have to believe AD and JYD are in the same boat.

I can't remember what the trade rules are.

60 day rule... trade would be possible by/before the trade deadline

i'd deal Frank Williams for Crawford... let's not kid ourselves. if crawford panned out as a point, we'd be able to deal Marbury for the post player we need.

Starbury is the kind of player you just DON'T let go of.

Understand this...
Stephon Marbury has ALWAYS wanted to play for the Knicks- ALL his life. No matter what team the man played on, his statements over the years (take a look at my boy WOODMAN's sig.) go to show that he will play here like he's never played anywhere else, period.

Watch Stephon Marbury bring a title to the New York Knicks. Mark my words. IMO It'll happen within three years. The Knicks are becoming much more focused on Winning...

Don't hate, congratulate. Starbury put his work in tonight (and with consistency), and he continues to make his teamm and teammates better.

although this trade would help us in the future, i would be worried about the current team and how they are playing. our current team is playing great ball and i'd hate to throw off their rhythm. would expectations still be so high? or would we realize that it may take a couple more yeas before crawford is a consistent player.

If NY is trading for Crawford then Houston would be traded for someone else that is a low post threat. It is that simple.

I think trading houston is a mistake short term but long term it is the right move.
