So whatchoo sayin is if Amar'e loves the pick and roll... and Mozgov loves the pick and roll.. and Ray Felton ain't Chris Duhon... the plot could thicken around December or mid-January?

hit the open man

yeah hey im saying that the pick and roll is mike dantonis system- last 2 years we had david lee with duhon doin it almost all game but once lee or duhon sat on bench we had nobody else for pick and roll!! now we at least have a backup in mozgov--- and hopefully felton averages at least 8 assists and doesnt wear down midway through the season. oh and hopefully douglas and mason can backup felton and still perform the pick and roll effiiciently

T mosgov has a better body than JJ but he does not have more talent. He is probably more effective becasue of his body and experience.

amigo at this point I am going to have to say your just wrong. Did you watch the video? We all agree he's athletic 7'1

Did you not see him thread that pass too the cutter? (passing, check)
Did you not see him bury the jumper from 15 feet (mid range jumper, check)
Did you not see him dunk on guys (can finish, check)
Did you not see him score on that one dribble and jump hook (post moves, check)
Did you not see him blocking shots (long athletic help defender, check)

This guy has a LEGIT skill set. Only thing I have not seem him do is put the ball on the floor.

How his skills translate against players at this level of comp remains to be seen, but the guy is 7'1. This isnt some 6'7 (Sean May) type college player who's been pushing around college kids for a few years.

I'm sorry. I dont understand how you can watch BJ Mullens play 9 minutes a game with Evan Turner and ride his jock then look at this guy and say he's got no skills.

You have some explaining to do

fishmike--being 7-1 270 and athletic is a skill by itself and can over ride talent

sure... I'm about a half inch taller that 6'3. I probably pass a few thousand people every day just walking from the train station to work and back everyday. Most days I dont see another dude as tall as I am so I know these guys dont grown on trees.

My point is if you watch the videos he's clearly got a skill set and its pretty diverse. Knicks also arent asking him to be Patrick Ewing. He just needs to be a role player in the flow of the game.

I love Mozgov on the pick and roll, and his setting screens. He sets multiple screens on the same play. He goes over and puts his body in front of a defender guarding one of his teammates. And continues to do it until he gets a pick and roll situation or his teammate shoots.

"hit the open man" will take on a new meaning with Mozgov. He goes and "hits" / sets a screen on any open opposing team's player.

yeah the good thing that i noticed in the 3 games that i saw was that he never got called for an illegal or a moving screen - and he does so many throughout the whole game

He looks like he might have slightly more skills than the other 7 foot stiffs floating around the league. I like that he plays with passion but he can't argue with the refs over here. Hopefully, the kid develops into a serviceable backup.

Hopefully he develops into Shawn Kemp.

For what it counts, which is not much, mozg means brain in russian- mozgov means brain-like or brainiac, if you will. Watch him show us the details of MDA offense next season, in game action.
