I wouldn't use the word scrub--I would say that he is a European skilled basketball player who has little chance to play in the NBA. There will be a nice place in Russia for him to play soon enough.

lol..you really hated anthony..uh..you compare every suspect player the knicks sign to roberson

why shouldn't i compare them if Rautins is suspect? Roberson was a bad signing there's just no getting around it... i didn't compare Rautins to him, they're different size players... i just said i hope Rautins doesn't turn out to be a useless scrub like Roberson was & takes away a roster spot from someone else that should get it instead.

I don't consider that progress at all. The only reason this is so, is because we GAVE OUR LOTTERY PICK AWAY. Personally, I'd rather be talking about how our #9 pick was a reach than that our #38 pick should have gone undrafted.

I agree. I think they made a mistake drafting him and they compounded it by signing him before he proved he was worth a roster spot/contract this year.

I actually thought it was pretty funny...that guy was such a waist. My biggest ? was how did he get signed before Fields, and he played great in SL

I think he just lead his Canadian team with 19 points with good shooting, in prep for the Fiba championships or something like that. He also played point I believe.

I hope he does pan out, would be nice to have a Stever Kerr like shooter who can also play point at time. Wasn't happy at all with the pick but he might play better as a role player.

I'm a Syracuse guy who has followed Andy career from the get go. Honest to goodness, midway through his sophomore year I told my friends that he would play in the NBA. It was something about his stroke, like the first time I saw John Starks shoot the ball, that I just knew he was going to turn into a player. Now I will say that coming into the draft I never expected the Knicks to take him, let alone anyone for that matter, but I was hopeful we'd let him come in as a free agent where I thought he could surprise some people and possibly make the team. Anyhow, let's not write Rautins off just yet. Andy was the leader of our Cuse team that was #1 in the nation for a bit this past year, and although Wes Johnson was our best player, Andy was the glue. The guy does more than shoot, which he does much better than he showed in summer league (where he was admittedly awful). He brings intangibles such as grit, leadership and a high basketball IQ. Give him a chance to develop. He can be an 85% free throw shooter (improved every year) and 40%+ from behind the arc. He most likely won't get any run this year but I believe with some practice time and development the guy could turn into someone who will contribute at a cheap price in the future.
"It was good," Curry said. "I killed Malik, Jerome. The usual suspects. It felt good."

Rautins is wearing # 10. Looks like he was playing the 2 to me. Has a couple of nice plays in there.

rp wrote:Obviously someone in the organization likes his play...I agree some what with KYK comments, they probably asked him to some certain task during summer leage that made him think more...I believe TD after the first game was instructed as well but thats one reason they have summer league and pre season and yes PRACTICE! We just have to wait for the drama to playout :)

Which is a normal think for in summer league. Like when ..damn...the rook with the dreads, forget his name...was told to work on his defense and not worry about fouls. Jordan Hill, that was it. Same with attention deficient N8 who was told to work on his pg skills.

I think the weren't worried about his shot and wanted him to concentrate on defense.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Two games in a row, good shooting, 19pts. Better than summer league?
