the key here is not on the college level, it's the access they would have to the HS kid that doesnt know any better who would listen to the likes of an isaiah to shape his future. that is where the crux of the issue lies - if college coaches cld consult for nba teams, the inherent conflict of interest is undoubtedly there for them to talk to these kids and steer them where they want them to go, not for the benefit of the kid per se, but for the benefit of themselves as college coaches and/or the nba teams they would represent.
most of us on this board are more savvy than the avg 14-16 yr old kid - we can read btwn the lines, these kids cant neccessarily. for the nba to allow this type of relationship to exist, opens them up to un-needed risk, which they dont need as the league is losing revenue, facing a potential lock-out and lacking the overall level of talent it once had. the nba is fast becoming a joke.
