Isiah had some good points when it came to drafting but not much else worked. I think he had some good talent but the teams had bad intangibles and were mismatched.

D'Antoni has trouble coaching talented players that might need some direction or at times lack professionalism. He struggles to communicate to that type of player. At times he struggled to communicate with Amare in Phoenix. Communication problems impact coaching no matter who you have on the roster. D'Antoni needs a point guard to be his communicator on the court and in the locker room. Without that he has had no success in the NBA no matter who was on his roster.

It just seems the man shuts his mouth when he is supposed to talk and and talks when he should just shut up.

Huh? *scratches head*

Ears open mouth shut, David

-Complaining about a HOF coach stealing his joy.....as a rookie.
-I may be wrong here-but I think I remember him calling out the fans during Zeke's coaching stint.
-I remember a lot of talking during his unrestricted FA bid, so much so people were praising Nate for his class as how he handled it in comparison to Lee.
-Crying about not being able to play center when he just made the all star team playing center.
-Commentin on the Zeke situation now

David, please say SOMETHING!

-He the earned a certain amount of respect as a hustle player. Never was viewed as anything close to a team leader.
-David, tell us you are working on being a better defender in addition to that 3 point shot you worked on last season. Why does your agent have to tell us you are working on your D?
--David. Please say something on D to help your teammates help cover your ass.

I respect him for what he brings as a player but he is a primadonna.

And it was Lee. I remember from that year Mike and Mike played the clip and Golic went crazy on him talking like a baby...

I gotta find the quote. That was when I first really questioned David. I gotta find the quote but I am at work and on my phone (we all remember how that turned out last time) so I will find it this afternoon.

Stooge utilized as much skill and quickness ensuring he wouldn't get posterized as he did doing anything else. DLee will have a fine rest of his career out west, where no one cares about anything except the Lakers.
See Zach Randolph. See 20/10 and never out of the first round.

So what's your deadline for Mike to show results? End of this year? Or...?

if you had hired a new coach this summer, how long would you give new coach?

That's kinda the way I look at it. New roster, etc. He was 2 years left on deal, right? No reason to get rid of him after the end of this year unless everyone is tuning him out.

I'm asking Nixluva specifically, because I'd like to know in advance when he is not willing to defend him any longer. I agree with you that the last 2 years have been throw away. But I do think that this personnel should win at least 40 games THIS YEAR, and if not, we have a coaching problem.

But I'd like to hear it from the spin doctor himself. Nixluva what's your deadline?
a) what is the minimum number of games MDA should win this year to not get fired, or B) if he gets a pass no matter how many games he wins, when does that grace period end?
Hang your ass out there.

Not willing to draw a line in the sand, eh Nix?
