OK Guys thanks for answering my question, Frank Williams is highly overrated(atleast by a couple of people on this site). The way some of you talk about him you must be either his parents or agents. Getting the Shaft that must be a joke. Hes riding the bench behind one of the best PGs in the league. Frank Williams has proved nothing. He played like 3 good games against some terrible teams, and already he is in the HOF. (thanks for listing every highlight in his entire 500 minute career in your earlier response) He played well when given a chance. Thats it, Hopefully someday he can be an avg PG in the NBA, this guy doesnt have the speed or outside shot to be an all-star type point guard. The only reason some knick fans think he is so great is cause they were comparing him to ward and eisly, compared to them he is great. He will never get more than 10 minutes a game in NY, who do u take away minutes for him to play more, Houston, Marbury, Penny I dont think so. If I were the knicks I would trade him now while the impression of those 3 games is fresh in other teams minds.

FW is a promising young PG in his second season in the NBA, showing great flashes so far, and that is exatcly what he is. Overated, underated, just cut the crap and stop hyperventelating lol.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

where did steph come from, where did tony parker(starting point guard for the world champion spurs) come from, where did steve fracis come from, where did jason williams come from. as an nba player, when you show signs of getting better and making your teammates better, you are given a chance to show if you can do it on a consistent basis, did frank get it? overrated, under rated, nobody said he was great, but if you had watched all of those games he played in, you should have seen how great the team was playing. he was the point guard and the team was feeding off of him.
nobody said frank is better or worse than steph. everybody is saying that he never really got the chance to show what he had like all of these following player got, kg's, jermaines, kobes, parkers, stephs, jamal tinsleys, the list goes on.
look at the highlights bro, the guy just made the team better and if you can't see that, you are probably not a knicks fan.

AHH I get it anyone that disagrees with your point of view must not be a knick fan...I agree with one thing you said he did make the knicks better compared to Eisley. Im not saying the guy sucks just that he isnt getting any minutes with Steph here so do the knicks and him a favor and let him go to a team where he can prove himself. Get a player that fits this team better. He is our only chip to trade. Just dont expect Tim Duncan in return. I think Miles is fine value for Frank. I get crazy when I hear people say he cant be traded or he should play 25 minutes a night. Whose minutes are u taking away. If you said give him Moochies 10 min a night I cant argue with that.

a trade is exactly what i want to occur with frank. let him go to a team like the cavs, or the clippers. let him show what he can do and tear isiah's heart out. (you should realize for the same stuff that isiah gave away for marbury, he could have gotten a necessarily needed low post precense, and let frank still lead this team at that position like jamal tinsley was chosen to)
btw, when the team plays really well and wins with somebody, and teammates like kieth, allan, kurt, shandon, acknowledge the fact that you are a very big reason of your good play, you can never question it . you did! and i just tried to explain why frank is not over-rated.
i could care less about trying to make people agree or disagree with me. i just want to post what i feel about the topic and you can post what you feel.

Would you please elaborate on exatly what kind of lowpost presence we could have gotton for McBust (back to IR) 2st rounders and a couple of Euro prject? Oh yeah, and have them take on the bum of of bums Eisly too? Not sayin that this is not a nice package, but ohnestly, you must know that you can't land a Brand/Webber/Ducnan/Garnett for something like that.

hey, most of you guys think that the euro projects and a gold mine, and that the two draft picks could have landed us a guy like luol deng, a hakim warrick and dwight howard.
nobody thought that isiah had the trade for a poing guard planned. since the team had already started considering frank their point guard, who was getting props from teammates like kieth to other people like marv albert, clyde frazier. frank williams was playing so great and leading so well that a trade for a point guard, nobody though would happen. that's why some people called it a bad one and some a good one. i just called it an optimistic one. i posted a message about steph "marbury really starbury?" read it! as for the contract of howard(the only real bad one we got rid of along with a lot more) we got back an old guy with an even worse contract. penny has been playing well and i hope he does keep playing well. but what if he keeps going 3-10 like he did last night on a consistent basis, wouldn't he be more of a liability than eisly. marbury would be the only big piece we get back then. and if marbury doesn't get us to win, like when we got blown out by houston and he completely got out played by the franchise, this trade would be left as a total bust. but you have to be totally optimistic with a trade. the mcdyess traded didn't work out so we move on.
i'm sure that guys like wallace, maurice taylor, elton brand, etc... were available for all of the pieces we gave up. it's not a secret that we did give up a lot!

Taylor is pretty bad. Brand is the only uncouchable on the Clips, Wallace was def not worth all the stuff we gave up with his baggage and all. Gettin Brand is a dream thou, we get him we are a title contender.

maybe i should have bolded the word, guys like, for you. you seem to not realize that we gave up a lot.
you seem to not know your talent. maurice is a post-up player who imo has a lot of talent. something people like you are ignorant enough to not see. he's young, energetic, and explosive. something a majority of the knicks players lack. People talk about the weak eastern confernce. think again, he might just be the piece we need to go up aginst guys like germaine, kenyon.

letitbeheard,

I can finally agree with something you have posted on this website....If the knicks offered that package for Maurice Taylor we would have gotten him.
BUT if Isiah does that deal, They would have been dropping Isiah's dead body in Times Square on New Years Eve instead of the ball.

why would the knicks even think about offering a packeage like that for him? if thomas wanted to do the deal, he could have offered up a guy like shandon or eisley with lampe(who he seemed not to like), vujanic,
i mean he had a lot of choice with the package
hey, i still don't know if it could have been done, but i wanted to put him out there since imo we already had an up-and coming point guard in frank(he was given no chance)
no, currently i wouldn't take marbury over frank talent wise. but i would certainly make an arguement, team wise
