Significant development? He already has skills he just needs to get some NBA experience. Chicago is paying Deng(SF), Boozer(PF), and Korver(SF). Gibson give them defense and rebounding at PF. The minutes just aren't going to be there for him anytime soon.
I like Chandler but he has some limitations and is a RFA next summer. Walker is cool but just like Chandler his ball handling is lacking.
He's got intriguing size and talent but he's proven very little. He's young though--sometimes guys take time. Maybe Chicago does not want to wait or they have better plans for the spot?
The game where TD started the first night against Dallas everything seemed to click along pretty good. think it shocked the Mavs
TD's first two games were with McGrady and Chandler in the lineup. He goes
W. Chandler G-F 40:06 9-20 0-3 4-4 +34 1 5 6 4 3 1 0 1 3 22
D. Gallinari F 26:24 2-4 1-1 1-1 +17 1 6 7 1 3 1 1 0 0 6
D. Lee C 34:19 6-12 0-0 3-5 +22 5 9 14 7 3 0 0 0 1 15
T. McGrady G-F 23:16 4-7 2-4 1-1 +18 0 1 1 3 2 3 3 1 1 11
T. Douglas G 30:52 8-10 4-4 1-2 +22 0 2 2 8 2 1 0 1 0 21
That's a fair line for Chandler and Douglas especially against the Mavs on a 13 game win streak. A howmany point turn around?
Then they win again in Philly but Chandler can no longer go because of a groin thing. Shows me the both of them have talent. Would have like to see haow far they would have gone...with chandler healthy. But think d'Antoni was gonna give Rodriguez burn anyway
That's a pretty fair line for a rookie PG in his first start against Jason Kidd
Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans
