REALLY..did you see walker in SL, he should have dominated, yet he was about as avgerage as you could find, and in the 1st 2 games he was terrible.
SL games are meaningless... did you watch Evan Turner stink it up in SL? u really think that's the player he's going to be this season? what can Shannon Brown do so great other than dunk? please tell me.
I think the summer leagues are games where a swing man dominates. I am much less worried when a mediocre big man puts up sub par numbers. Walker's performance concerned me. I thought he would dominate like most vets do in that role. His three knee surgeries concern me. I think when you consider that Walker's run with the Knicks was not that long, he is far from a sure thing.
never said he was a sure thing... Evan Turner had a crappy SL & he's a swingman... does that worry you? it doesn't worry me, i think he'll be a fantastic player... funny thing is people bug out whenever 1 of our players struggles in SL & come up with all kinds of excuses when players on other teams do the same (not referring to you here)... Bill Walker to me is an athletic young kid that can contribute in spurts & bring some excitement, much like what a guy like Shannon Brown could bring... i don't see either of them developing into star calibre talent anytime soon... i think having both of them on the same team is pretty repetitive myself.
I think Evan Turner is going to be awesome. I had high hopes for Walker. I was really disappointed with what I saw in the summer league. Maybe the weight loss contributed to his poor play and he will bounce back. Whatever happens, he has had three major knee surgeries.
