Which team did you love more? 99 or 94 Knicks

My knee-jerk reaction has always been the 94 team, Because that team legitimately had a shot to beat Houston and win it all. Probobly should have.

The 99 team had no real shot to beat San Antonio without Ewing, but looking back I have to admit it.. I loved this team more than the 94 bad boys.

Spree, Houston, CAMBY especially.. Even Childs.. Man i loved this squad, that run in the playoffs will NEVER be matched as a Knick fan. Van Gundy > Riley. Remember his wife crying? That says it all.

I swear if Ewing was 100% healthy that year, we take the Chip. San Antonio was good, but I'd bet anything with the momentum we had build to that point, if the Big Fella was around - we take it and it would have been one of the GREATEST sports stories in history.

I without a doubt have to say the 99 team for many reasons. (thinking back a couple months ago i remember an article about how lebron wouldent fit in as a ny hero because he was unflawed and how melo would be the perfect ny hero athlete because he wasnt viewed as "the ultimate guy "...) i agreed with this article and on that note ...

That 99 team was viewed as a bunch of castoffs between spree and his attitude ....lj being washed up... camby and his injuries... there wasnt that we are supposed to be there. they laid it out on the floor everynight and played their heart out and one could see this.. also
i would say that the 99 team was viewed as ewings last chance..... even pat himself viewed this as his last chance... watching ewings MSG profile thing about how in 99 he just cried on the bus in 99... this was it for him the 94 team was just like "well we got another shot next year... "
the playoff moments that was created by that 99 team are 2 out of the three in knicks history. the crowds reaction to that larry johnson four point play is STILL showed on their commercials and allan houstons buzzer beater goes without saying... that 99 team is my favorite by far and with a healthy EWING he retires a Knick and we have that ring that ALL OF US KNOW HE DESERVES... that made that 99 such a great team in my opinion AND tho he has been screwing us now ernie grunfeld deserves all the credit in the world for that team

99 mainly because they were more enjoyable to watch. The Spree, Camby and Houston trio inflicted some youth, excitement and a more free flowing style. Plus, they were an 8th seed and it was enjoyable watching them beat higher seed after higher seed. And lets be real, yes, that 94 sqaud played hardnose ball, but they were an eye-sore to watch if you weren't a die-hard knick fan.

this is tough because the 94 team was supposed to win and didn't, and the 99 team wasn't supposed to make it out of the first round, did, but came up short

I'll pick the 99 team just because my Spanish IV teacher knew how much of a basketball nut I am and didn't get mad when I got to first period a little late the day after the game

I'd take the 94' team. Both have great stories behind how they were assembled
but like him or hate him, Riley gave this franchise an identity it hadn't had
in a long time. Its hard to believe that there was once a time when this team
was feared. Feels like it was a hundred years ago.

Sprewell gave the 99' Knicks some of the toughness and attitude that it lost
through roster changes but they didn't have the same mean streak, especially with
Ewing sidelined.

I know its a different game now and people who want to re-create 94' are too nostalgic.
I don't care if its SSOL or VSOP, I just want this team to come up with a game plan
and execute it with some real intensity.

'94 Knicks without question... that team was intimidating as hell... that's the style i always envision when i think of the Knicks... i never saw the Walt Frazier teams of old so the old timers will probably have a different take.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

94. That team should have won it all in 93 also and that core was together threw so many wars.

me too... I loved watching the 94 team. They were better. I said 99 though because when the 94 team came up short it felt like a failure, while the 99 team falling short felt like a success
