I see no problem with Isiah as a players scout / player relations type guys. In some kind of consulting role!

This is what I judge Isiah on:

Seasons W-L
2004–05: 33-49

2007–08: 23-59

I really hate it when people try to give Isiah Thomas a break. WHY? What the hell did he do here that was so good? He left behind Lee and Chandler. That's it. 5 f'ing seasons and he left behind 2 decent to good players while trading away half his draft picks and overpaying the likes of Jeffries, Jerome and Curry. I blame him for that list because he acquired those players. Just like when people insulted Walsh for acquiring Roberson and the likes. Isiah signed, traded and drafted those players. Did he have a few good players along the way? Sure, but even a blind squirrel can find a nut.

Isiah's "eye for talent" is severely overrated. What he does have is the impeccable will to lose. He sucks ass now and sucked ass then. He has sucked in everything he has been involved in since his retirement as a player. Pathetic tenure with the Toronto Raptors and the CBA and a mediocre at best tenure with the Indiana Pacers as coach. Then he comes here and ****s the bed. Once he's fired he goes to FIU and proceeds to do absolutely nothing to raise their level of play, despite his basketball "genius" and "eye for talent". He is a LOSER since his retirement. I want to win.

You're thought out post fails because you left out David Lee. Kind of biased, no? It just paints this entire post with a bias that is hard to overlook.

He mentioned lee, thats the only thing positive of the isiah reign

2. Playa is an Isiah fan.

3. Playa heavily dislikes D'Antoni and Walsh.

4. Playa is a part-time racist on the weekends.

Put it all together and this news from Michael Kay is like Christmas Eve for Playa.

Some people have no conception of how to handle power and this paragraph is a great summary of that.

Isiah has a lot of issues. He fits the profile of a sociopath. He attempted suicide and said that it was his daughter. He went after guys on his team and tried to end their careers and make them scapegoats. He called out the fans, and minimally is on tape being racially insensitive and a chauvenistic. He treated coaches like crap. His treatment of Don Chaney was heartless. He fired all of Lenny Wilkens assistants and left Lenny to eventually leave on his own. He was not a good guy in NY. Maybe it was based on his huge ego but he did a lot of damage. Chasing the flavor of the month high salary character flawed former superstar put the Knicks in a horrible position. I am really excited about the current roster and I am glad Isiah is not around or a part of it. Isiah needs to shoot for reaching the plateau of 8 wins next year with FIU and avoid sexual harrassment lawsuits and statements that offend people because of their racial, or gender content. Enough with this guy. The Knicks seem to be headed in a positive direction two years after his reign ended.

And I completely agree with the GKF post. To try to make a case for getting Isiah back based on this ridiculous presumption about his eye for talent is beyond incomprehensible.

The thread title is so precious.

Maybe there is some cred to todays players looking up to Isiah.

They must hate the DLeague and want it destroyed. Isiah has been known to no only destroy careers and franchises, but also whole leagues!

Isiah if he is truely delusional and truely out of his mind would be persuing a return.

And if so he is completly turning his back on FIU who stood up and was the only one who showed him love and support and he pledged to put them on the map.

Isiah is insincere. Thats a very bad trait.

I don't have a problem with using Isaiah's ability to evaluate college talent. But I'd limit his role to that.

Dolan is getting smarter. His company can't be sued for sexual harassment if Isiah isn't officially hired. Gotta admire someone that learns from their mistakes.
