MDA is giong to give him a ton of mins and put give him a lot of creative control in a high tempo offense that he is tailor made for.

I don't think he will produce MVPs like Nash but 8.0 is the minimum I expect from him and if thats all he ended up averaging then he is only above average.

You have 4 guys---especially Amare who is 25 points 55% and then Gallo Randolph and Chandler get more space space and lanes because of Amare. You are exactly right New york 8 assits is minimum 9/10 assits is more likely. Ive been watching tape on fleton and Im more excited than when we signed him.

That is why I kind of want one more good deal to really solidify the bench--I sau WIN NOW baby--YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME. i DO not CARE ABOUT pAUL OR cARMELO IF THE RIGHT DELA IS THERE. i LIKE WHAT WE HAVE---80% OF THE FANS DONT KNOW WHAT WE HAVE

Yes I wish we got Whiteside--I think that was a huge FU--I wish he was here but he's not. I dont want to strangle our team because of cap IF the right deal is there. You play to win--we had a big free agency and we have the talent. Im willing to go Curry Douglas any rookie + picks to get two guys who can give me serious production off the bench--so we are a strong 8 with depth 9-12 after that in case of injury.

I just wanna make a point *rimshot*

D'antoni point guards increase their assists by 3 when they play for him....Nash went from a career average of 7 as a starter in Dallas to a career average od 10 assists with D'antoni....Chris Duhon jumped from a career average of 4 assists to 7 assists per game...That's all I got but if you go by that logic...Raymond Felton will average 10 assists per game going off the 7 assist he averaged in his Charlotte career.

Put that in ur pipe and smoke it!!!

Felton doesn't have to be Nash in this system. We Didn't have a ball dominant PG and still this team avg'd 20 asts. The System doesn't fall apart if you don't have a ball dominant PG. Nash handles the ball longer than MDA's system is designed to do, but he's NASH! Only CP3 or Nash would be allowed to hold the ball that long, because they're hyper effective with the ball. I would expect that Felton would be giving the ball up sooner than a Nash would. Also in terms of Felton's 3pt shooting, he seemed to pick up his % last year plus he's faster and more athletic than Nash. He can get penetration a bit more often to make up for taking more 3's. There's more than one way to excel in this system. How many times was Duhon open to drive to the hoop and didn't do it? Faking the 3 and blasting past your man is also an option.

When i think about Felton I think North Carolina.
There is a coach, from NC with an aging PG in Denver.

Think George Karl might have some mutual interest?
Walsh might be anticipating a deal with Denver.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Eny, while agree with you regarding Nash, I don't with Duhon. Duhon only averaged about 24 to 25 min/game with the Bulls and 4 to 5 assists. With NY, he averaged 34mpg and about 6.5 assists. Duhon's increase in assists were due to his increased playing time. However, last year he was playing hurt.

I do think Felton will increase his assists under D'Antni's system....the Knicks will have more possessions and take more shots than the Bobcats.

You do know you are talking about Raymond Felton right?

Im expecting an EFFICIENT 15pts and 7asts

15 and 7 in how many mpg? If you're talking about ordinary starter's minutes (maybe 34 mpg), then you're actually saying roughly the same thing as Briggs since he gave per 40 mpg #s.

i'd rather have CP3 than Melo to be honest.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Felton will put up 16ppg and 8apg in this system, easily. He played in a system that did not allow PGs to create very often - look at Chauncey's numbers after he stopped playing for Larry Brown - he went from 16ppg and 5apg in brown's last season in detroit to 19ppg and 8apg the first season without him.

I'm excited to see him with a crunch time lineup of:

Felton
Azubuike
Gallo
Amare
AR

Chauncey is a great comparison!
