Hey I agree but we already have a brand new team from last year, whats three more new guys. The three guys all have cheap team options and the key to the deal is Bayless who could turn into our future point guard or at at least our version of Barbosa.

I'm not a big advocate of this trade bc I really like Will & TD. They bring a toughness to our team that is needed for the playoffs.

I'm okay whether such a trade goes down or not. Either way a bunch of new guys are coming to training camp to learn how to play together.

Blazers get a legit starting 3 and a defensive back-up 1 who can score. Remember Roy runs thats offense a lot from the 2 spot.

let's keep our guys and build a team.

He was as consistent as anyone in the league from that range. He does need to work on getting to the line more. It's not that he doesn't go to the basket hard. It's that he hasn't developed some of the veteran tricks for drawing contact. Hopefully he learns this.

You don't trade Chandler for nothing. But opportunities do come up. And if they do, then he should be traded. IF Isiah taught us anything, it's that teh makeup of your team is more important then any one individual part.

I agree. That is what hurt him at the beginning of last year. If he focuses on his mid-range game and only shoots the wide-open 3s, I think the kid will perform awesomely this year.

This may sound crazy but a I could see a major trade with Portland go down that includes more than Rudy & Will.

Since D'antoni loves shooters and now has some shot blockers I could possiby see this trade go down:

Knicks trade:

Chandler Sf
Douglas Pg
Walker Sg

for

Portland trades:

Rudy Fernandez Sg
Jerald Bayless Pg/Sg
Nicolas Batum Sf

Knicks get a lot of O but lose a lot of D. Not sure Portland does it though.

But if we go into the season with the team we have now, I'll still be very happy.

Douglas is better than Bayless, at least as a shooter IMO.
Chandler is better than Fernandez at this point.
Nucolas Batum might be a better prospect than Walker, but do we need another SF?

I doubt Portland does this trade, and even if they did, I am not sure it really will help us. It probably would not hurt us, but it probably would not help either.
