I love Will but I don't know if he has the bball IQ/aggressiveness to make the leap to the next level. I think Rudy would fit very well in this system and give us that pure shooter 2G that we need.

RUDY who's jump shot went south. I'd rather have a guy with a heck of a mid range game (forgotten art) who continues to improve over a guy who either has regressed or overachieved

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Yeah that's probably a trade I'd look to make. Rudy's just buried out there now, esp. with the additions of Elliot Williams & Babbitt. I love Rudy's game---as long as he's healthy, he's a player. Miami just gave Mike Miller 5 yrs., $30M. Rudy's a very similar talent only salary-controlled for the time being and 5 years younger.. If that trade's on the table, I make it and don't look back..But I agree, i'd like to get a little more out of it -- maybe Rudy & a pick or Rudy and Patty Mills. Not sure if Mills is a restricted or unrestricted FA (he's currently on the Portland summer league squad playing for a contract)... He's talented though...I respect TD and what he brings to the table but personally, I think Patty Mills is a more talented, much more natural-looking point guard myself. I might prefer having Mills play behind Felton over Douglas..

Then again, with the health concerns of Azuibuke and the fact that Randolph's a little injury-prone himself, maybe the best move for us to do right now is hold onto the Mayor...Not sure. The Mayor may not even be the best fit out in Portland with all their wings anyway..I love Rudy Fernandez though and I'd have to really consider it if Portland was willing to deal him. I think Rudy blows up in a Mike D'Antoni system. I know Kevin Pritchard loved him but he's no longer there---looks like KP was instructed to take another SG in the draft before being shown the door which could point to the fact that the new Portland management team isn't as high on Rudy as KP was..And they appear very non-committal with Mills...Maybe we could hash out something with them..

Another guy I'd look to get using Chandler as bait is Hassan Whiteside...I still can't see Whiteside being a good fit out their in Sac -- they traded for Dalembert, drafted Cousins in the lottery and also have 6'10" Jason Thompson & now Carl Landry in the mix..Chandler isn't the best fit on that Sac. team either I guess (they already have big talented wings in Garcia, Casspi & Greene) but I'd definitely try it..Maybe we try and get a 3rd team involved..

Mills & Whiteside are playing tonight on NBA TV -- 8:30 & 10 pm.

I'm amazed tha everyone wants to trade Will for pie in the sky. This kid is a proven offensive and defensive monster who will only get better this year. Stop thinking the grass is greener elsewhere. So what is the plan for the following year? Trade Gallo because his QO is coming up? I have news for you; right now, Wilson Chandler is better than Danilo Gallinari

Here we go again with that Carmelo crap. Chandler is only 23 and he is getting better. Why do we throw our young under the bus for a pipe dream. Carmelo may never come here so lets make a commitment to Chandler and make him better. He is one of our best defensive guys out there. We need defense.we will never get deep in the playoffs with out defense. If Walsh start tearing off this team and throwing another season chasing a pipe dream I just might become a Bulls or Celtics fan for this season.

when was the last time the Knicks gave an extension of some sort to somebody ?
It's funny how this whole world is based on one dummy controlling another, and the leader dummy was chosen by a whole bunch of dummies.

There is no Wilson Chandler "situation" other than he is 23, 6'8 and 240 and one of the brightest lights the Knicks have had in recent years.

The Mayor is poised to have a breakout season running with feisty lead guard Ray Felton in place of the passive Chris Duhon. How cool is that? The impatience of some to play wet fantasy GM, as they can't wait 2 months to watch the bonding process, is a mystery to me.

Most Everyone?

nyk4ever - what are the "reliable sources" for all the trade rumors, free agent curiosity, roster strategy and imminent deals?

Who are they and what are their names?

Certainly NOT Donnie Walsh

I agree. You let the players play and you evaluate the team in December. Chandler is going to be a RFA, so there really is no rush to do anything. I would save him as a possible trade chip in an Anthony deal next summer.
