i dont understand how he is a bad defender. He presses the ball, stays with his man, and contests shots. Yeah he's small as hell and bigger pg's can pick on him but he isn't a liability.

guys can see over him - which means they can see passing lanes and shoot over him. his height makes him a defensive liability. as does the fact that he rarely plays within the team concept on D. he's a liability.

He also leaves his man open on the perimeter (with his half ass help d) although part of that is the defensive schemes, but for the most part it's his judgment that stinks

Nate will find somewhere to play- Maybe he will even take a little less $$ to play with Heat.

He is just going to have to lower his expectations as far as playing time goes.

I'm left to assume that Nate's off court personality detracts significantly from his on court contributions.

He doesn't do much nonsense off the court, like getting in trouble (other then a suspended lic)it's his on court shananigans that makes him a liabilty

Papabear Says

Nate is like the class clown. If only he kept his mouth shut and just play the game. The only way a person could get away with mouth and showboat like Nate will be if he is a superstar. Nate could have signed for 5 - 6 million if only he kept his mouth shut and been a humble guy. The sad thing is that he just don't get it.

Next stop...The Harlem Globetrotters.

Like I said from Day 1, this guy is a clown.

Scola on NJ makes perfect sense... if he signs for anything less than $9M per, it's an absolute bargain... Al Harrington would be a good match for NJ also

Al would be good for NJ, but when we face them he would give us hell, like when he played vs GS he went for like 40, and looked unstoppable

Al has that ability to go off & carry a team on a given night... not nearly consistent enough to be a nucleus player, but on a team like NJ he wouldn't have to be... on a team w/a shotblocking C like Lopez, u can afford to have a PF who plays on the perimeter like Al & have him be effective.
