Understood, but we are all loyal to the Knicks including Spike Lee, that shouldn't be reason to hire someone. So he helped sign Amare, great may be he has made up for 1% of the damage he has done. And the article does say Walsh has Isiah's name on his list of potential GMs. That is why I feel so angry about this.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Absolutely. If Isiah was re-appointed GM, I would be furious. But, for now, it's just talk and a rumor and I'm not going to be upset. I don't think Knicks fans would accept Isiah as the GM again, unless he starts to build a long history of positive contributions for the organization, first. So, I can't imagine it's a legitimate consideration. For the first time in a long time, the Knicks are getting a lot of positive mentions in the media. This hadn't been the case for most of the last 10 years. I don't think MSG would want to reverse that in this manner.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I never changed my handle and i will lose it.
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

We should finish with building good team first.
Othervise there is no job for Isiah, nothing to destroy.

Posting about how Isiah was not a bad GM is worse than the actual idea of him being back.

There has to be checks and balances and I think Isiah makes too many panic moves that cost his team for years. I would not be opposed if he was an advisor and talent scout, however. I realize I may have been a little too harsh on his drafting in the past.

It does not seem to be widely realized that everything the last 3 GM's have done, Layden, Thomas, and Walsh are due to direct orders from Dolan.

It wasn't Layden who wanted overpriced, lame nice-guy players, it was Dolan.

It wasn't Isiah who wanted to try to get better overnight by capping out beyiond beleif it was Dolan,.

It wasn't Walsh who wanted to go in the extreme opposite direction and gutted the team to get under rthe cap solely to Sign LeBron +1, it was Dolan.

The Knicks GM's do what they do at the whim and pleasure of Dolan.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

In that case, why don't we hire a talking puppet, since it doesn't matter?

Holy crap- it is an absolute joke and embarassment that this man was recruiting players after being fired. It would be beyond a joke if he was coming back. I think that would finally be the last straw for me.

Isiah Thomas is an embarassment as an executive. Keep him away from the Knicks at all costs.

Despite swirling rumors he'll finally add to the front office because he is bound to a wheelchair, Walsh repeated he's not hiring a GM at this time. "I am not hiring now," Walsh said. "Because I do not have a job open."

Keep Isiah away! If he is around, every Knicks Pres or GM will always be looking over their shoulder and wondering if Dolan will give Isiah more authority. Isiah shouldn't be a part of this organization.

Calm down guys...we have to read between the lines on this one. Walsh always loved Isiah. He is a friend of his. He is saying this to try to keep Isiah's image up. There is no way Isiah can come back. Maybe as a scout or an assistant GM. He will never be a GM here again. Or president of basketball operations. Nothing like that.

This is Walsh trying to help Isiah and trying to just keep some of the rust off of his career.
