Didn't matter- Lebron never gave us any consideration.
I actually applaud Dolan for trying this. He did what he could. No stone unturned.
It was a Fait accompli, people. LeBron's last attempt before going to the dark side was to attempt to get the Bosh S&T accomplished, but either Toronto or Bosh (any rumors?) turned down the deal, so Bosh was headed for Miami with his master, D. Wade.
When I look at it now, it looks like James was never going to come here. Either he was going to stay with the Cavs along with his new best friend Bosh, and satisfy those in his posse who wanted him to stay in Ohio, or he was going to take the easy way out and go running to Wade and Pat the Rat.
I really don't think we were in the mix when it became apparent that the only way to stay and win in Cleveland was to get Bosh, and if that could not happen, the only other way for him to win, and win early, was Miami.
Nothing that Dolan, Walsh, MDA, or Isiah said at that point would have made any difference, and people are looking for excuses that make no sense because they are concerned with finding a scapegoat.
I don't think we were players after Wade and Bosh joined forces and LeBron's attempt to get Bosh (Was it real, or staged so he could same a bit of face?)did not go down.
