Would the same be true if we went the "building through the draft route"? We would be looking for a winning season this year?
I think that fans are generally more patient when building a team through the draft. If you like your picks they are almost like your kids, and I think you are more willing to put up with their growing pains. At some point, though, you have to start showing positive results in the form of winning seasons.
I think that we came out of this FA season in pretty decent shape, much better than during the past few years, but we still have to win or what's the point.
