I hope Donnie can bring in KP and slowly transfer his duties over to him.

I think Donnie did a fantastic job (outside of the 2009 draft). I think his trade last night, basically the minute Lebron made his announcement was a great trade. It's the kind of trade he made with the Pacers - Dale Davis for a young Jermaine O'Neal. It reminds me of when we got Camby.

Kevin Pritchard sucks! He drafted Greg Oden instead of Kevin Durant. I heard thats one of the reasons Portland let him go..

Dude made two good moves. The Lee trade, and the Nate trade. Other than that he's been an outright disaster.

If he's gone, oh well. If Jennings was drafted, you may have seen the dominoes fall our way this Summer a lot more than they have.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

you think this years' roster is worse than last year?

We're not done building this roster.

Rockets can win 50 and miss the playoffs.
We can win 40 and maybe make the playoffs.

No swap.

As to Donnie Walsh? Man is clearly battling cancer. Some need to lay off this "retirement because he didnt land James" stuff. It's unfounded.

Stop saying that. You don't win 50 and miss the playoffs. That's pure fantasy.

He was a narcissistic maniac who couldn't get along w/ ownership. But yea... I would welcome him here. Good basketball guy

I'm sorry. 49 Wins and you miss the playoffs last year.

The POINT still stands. Houston can have more wins than us. They miss the playoffs. We make the playoffs with less wins. There will be NO SWAP.

You think the NYK will be a lottery team next year? Puleeez. We already have Amare and still have millions in cap space and a nearly $12mil expiring. We are going to make the playoffs as at least an 8th seed.

As to Donnie, he did EXACTLY as he promised. He NEVER promised we would get Lebron. In fact, we should have landed Lebron and only didn't because the dude doesn't have the sack to handle New York. It was a personality issue, not an opportunity issue. Donnie cleared the decks of all the detritus that had collected, landed us a perrennial all-star PF, and gave us maximum cap flexibility to build an MDA style team. What else could he have done for us?

Some of you like to complain about the Fishlips trade (which undoubtedly hurts after missing on Lebron) but it was necessary to be in the game. So we didn't get our man. But we aren't heading for the lottery either, so those picks are not exactly going to be guaranteed stars.

I say "job well done" to Donnie thus far. Hope he stys to finish it. If not, snatch up a guy like KP and let's keep this rebuild rolling.

Cosmic, to be honest, I'm confused why people keep debating you on that point. I agree with you.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Well, there were few people who disagreed with the decision at the time. Most thought the guy would be a franchise level talent and few people here projected Durant to become what he has.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt
