My favourite line from that Lebron show was when he stated that the whole FA recruiting experience had "been so humbling" as he sat on an elevated podium with the words "The Decision" splattered across it in the midst of a one hour uber hyped special show. I hate his decison more as an nba fan than as a Knick fan (though that hurts too), like people have said- it's killed alot of parity there was in the league, they'll be fewer equally mached rivalries and we'll never again see Lebron Vs Wade, and even other stuff like Carmelo or Kobe Vs them won't really happen because they'll be going up against Lebron AND Wade and Bosh. Its also finished off 2 teams (Cavs and Raps) for quite a few years. I also think the NBA will be robbed of seeing those players (particularly Lebron and Wade) of actually achieving and displaying their full potential- they'll have to complement each other now and tone down parts of their games. I think it's also killed Lebrons chances of leaving a great legacy. The league has lost a lot of competitive matchups and it's a real shame.

I must admit sometimes I think of that miami team, and how they'll be able to add role players over the coming years, and can't help but think "whats the point?!". But I am clinging to a few bits of hope- that the refs will no longer be so generous when it comes to calling fouls for those three, that the new CBA will put a stop to the mid level excemption thus hindering their ability to add good role players each year. I also hope that their chemistry will suck, and I also look back on some of the US basketball teams where you looked at the roster and thought how can they possibly fail to get gold medals, yet they crashed out and ended up with Bronze- I hope the same thing happens here.

Anyway I might go on about this today to get it out of my system, but after today I won't be talking about Lebron anymore and i hope most fellow knick fans won't be either- we've wasted far too much time, resources and attention on him, and it became clear in that interview that he never had any real intention of joining us at all.

I don't hope lebron gets hurt,

instead, I hope Wade and Bosh both go down for extended time together with theur usual assortment of injuries, and Queen James is left alone with scrubs.

i would have understood had he returned to Cleveland and believe most fans would have-that would have shown some integrity and class. But he proved he is a talented physical specimen and little else. from the way he met with people who have risen to position of influence while he was dressed in sweatsuits to the spectacle of a television show ostensibly proclaiming his importance. He is a manchild with physical skills beyond compare but uneducated and surrounded with lapdogs influencing his decisions. This was not the decision of a man but a child seeking the easy way to win (if he does win). I don't wish him physical harm-no person deserves that unless he causes physical harm but he should suffer the consequences of his decision-boycotts of his endorsed products, less than protected status on the court and avoidance of his promotional appearances. But, alas, none of this will happen because sports fans are fickle with short memories.

There are very few posts that I totally agree with. This is one.

I would like to add to it, Pat "the RAT" Riley. What a scumbag.

As far as our Knicks, they are young , getting athletic and fast. They need a few pieces but really not that far away from being in the top of the EAST.

LeBron did what he felt was best for him - as most people do. I can't fault him for that. I wish it turned out differently, but now it's time to move on and use the cap room to get talented young players like Randolph and Azubuike.

agree and you can see that all the way. This is so weak for Lebron. I would have respected him if he went to Chi, NJ or resigned, but Mia is cowardly IMO

I'm cooling down this morning. The dude did tale less money to play with who hhe wants to play with.

The humble line was great.

We are also finding out really the kind of person Dan Gilbert really is.

I wonder why he quit on his team against the celtics.

LB is a Puss. Pure sucker mover.
MJ never wanted to play with Isiah, Isiah never wanted to play with Dominique, Bird never wanted to play with Magic. Those guys wanted to beat each other. I remember MJ saying he felt cheated that he came into the league when Magic and Bird, while still great were on the downside of their careers. That's a competitor!!

The crown has fallen off, the King is dead...long live the king. You can no longer call him the King. For now on, the only title that suits him is...KID FLASH

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt
