lebron has turned into a bad guy from a god guy..just like haystacks calhoon and gorila monsoon 2 wreslers did in the 60's..they were loved characters who for some reason turned into bad characters..i guess monsoon did that so he could wrestle bruno sammartino for the championship..cant have 2 good guys wrestling for the coveted crown..hulk hogan changed personalities too..but he did it after his reality show hogan knows best

cleveland is not winning anytime soon, but I feel gilbert... Lebron has the right to go wherever he wants, but how he did this whole process was disgusting...

I'm sure there's alot we don't know from the Cleavland side of things Lebron really was disrespectful to them ,imagine having to watch on tv your player choose another team , that is an absolute joke. Lebron is not the hero we think he is the guy is a snake so it's no wonder he goes with the King of all snakes Pat Riley.

I thought the only reason he had the show was because he was going back. Televising not going back was a dick move. He maybe a good guy but not recognizing the hatred he would create not just by leaving but by televising it in an hour long special was mimimally naive. He will spend the rest of his life as a villain. It is sad for him and Cleveland.

Nice letter. No corporate euphemisms from this guy- he went for the jugular.

Good for him.

I feel bad for us, but really bad for Cleveland, Akron, and Ohio in general. I have lived in smaller cities and towns, and I understand that picking up someone like Princess J, who is local, a great athlete, and just happens to be there when you win the draft lottery, is a rare occurrence.

Princess LeBron has committed legacy suicide. He is not only a coward who chose the easy path, but he is also a hypocrite who threw his hometown into the gutter after building up an image that was created to make you think he was above such things.

How can he ever go back to his home now?

Yeah, I feel worse for Cleveland than I do for NY. This following the Boozer betrayal a few years earlier. Cleveland has been screwed multiple times.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I suppose there's something to be said for that... but then again he's tried to make The Queen happy and his franchise's value just got halved

He did everything that he could to make the guy happy. Every trade and signing was made to bring in his guys. Gilbert panicked when he fired Brown and Ferry. The Cavs were a very stable organization and Gilbert reacted in his attempt to keep LeBron. Gilbert probably should have written his letter and slept on it but I can't blame him for reacting. He was stabbed in the back. This should not have been done in an hour special on ESPN.

I agree with Gilbert's sentiment.

Screw LeBron. I have more doubts about his character and the type of person he is. He couldn't get it done for the past 7 years. Joining Wade and Bosh in Miami just stacks the deck too much against everyone else. No role model for any child to look up to. All he cares about is himself and him winning. Not competing. Not playing. Not sportsmanship.

LeBron lost BIG tonight in the eyes of the basketball fans around the world and I so very much hope he continues to lose! I don't want to see anyone outside of South Florida wearing a LeBron Jersey, or sneakers, or any product he endorses with his name on it. We should have a boycott the Miami games at the Garden. I would never pay money for anything connected with LeBron.

He gave 7 hard years--what about your freedom of choice? He's been in Ohio for 25 years. I think he's earned the right to do what he wants--he still is a human being.

But why he had to be fugazy about it? If you want to leave then just pick a team and leave.
